Abstract: The disclosure relates generally to an in-vehicle feedback system, and more particularly, to an in-vehicle device with a display or graphical interface that collects driving data and provides feedback based on the driving data. The system may comprise an in-vehicle device that includes a graphical user interface and a processor and a data collection device wirelessly connected to the in-vehicle device. The in-vehicle device may be configured to receive vehicle telematics data from the data collection device and the processor may process the telematics data in real time and cause the telematics data to be displayed on the graphical user interface. The graphical user interface may include a speed display and an acceleration display.

Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, software, and apparatuses provide a system for establishing base stations and allocating service vehicles to the base stations in order to provide roadside assistance. The system may include computing devices associated with customer vehicles and service vehicles as well as network computing devices. The system may receive a service request from a customer regarding a disabled vehicle. The system may then identify an appropriate service vehicle to assist the customer and assign the service request to the identified service vehicle. The system may select the appropriate service vehicle based on a location of the disabled vehicle. In an example, the system may choose a service vehicle from a base station closest to or within the shortest driving time to the disabled vehicle. By setting-up base stations in advance of service requests, service vehicles may reach disabled vehicles within a predetermined period of time.

Abstract: An optical device includes an optically emitting material producing spontaneous emission and an optical waveguide coupled to the optically emitting material. The spontaneous emission from the optically emitting material is emitted into at least one optical mode of the optical waveguide. The optical waveguide coupled to the optically emitting material does not provide optical gain, and the presence of the optical waveguide causes the spontaneous emission rate to be substantially more rapid than in the absence of the optical waveguide. The optical waveguide causes the more rapid spontaneous emission rate over a broad range of frequencies.
