  • Publication number: 20240263727
Abstract: A fluid quick connector incorporating Graphene or Graphene Derivatives into engaging male and female end forms that reduces oxygen and water permeation through the coolant quick connector and includes an integrated latch that eliminates the need for a separate latch component. An integrated retainer is located within the mating interior interface of the female end form and opposing exterior interface of the male end form and, in combination with an EPDM O-ring component, provide for a fluid sealing connection between the end forms which reduces permeation of oxygen and water through the body as well as reducing coolant volume loss so as to maintain an ideal (typically 50/50) water to Glycol ratio.

  • Publication number: 20230364988
Abstract: A capless fuel unit having an elongated housing open at each end and defining a first and a second longitudinally spaced fluid ports. First and second door assemblies each include a flapper valve associated with a first fluid port and a second flapper valve with a second fluid port, the flapper valves being movable between open and closed positions and resiliently urged toward their respective closed positions. A pressure relief valve is at least partially contained within an interior of the flapper valves. The various plastic components of the capless unit incorporate Graphene or a Graphene-derivative for resisting hydrocarbon emission from fuel vapors escaping from the unit to the atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20230364987
Abstract: A capless fuel unit having an elongated tubular and cylindrical housing open at each end, the housing defining a first and a second longitudinally spaced fluid ports. A first flapper valve is associated with the first fluid port and a second flapper valve with the second fluid port, the flapper valves being movable between open and closed positions and resiliently urged toward their respective closed positions. A pressure relief valve is at least partially contained within an interior of the flapper valves. An arrangement of elastomeric seals incorporating a Graphene-derivative are positioned within the housing in proximity with the flapper valves for resisting hydrocarbon emission from fuel vapors escaping from the unit to the atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20210370763
Abstract: An opening-closing device for a fuel supply passage includes a tubular passage forming portion having a fuel inlet port, a flap having an engagement portion, and an opening-closing actuating member. The opening-closing actuating member includes a main body and movable portions coupled to the main body. Each movable portion includes a proximal portion, an arm extending in the circumferential direction from the proximal portion, a nozzle detecting portion protruding inward in the radial direction from the arm, and an engaging portion. When the nozzle detecting portions do not receive a pushing force, the engaging portions are engaged with the engagement portion to lock the flap in a closing state in which the flap closes the fuel inlet port. When the nozzle detecting portions receive the pushing force, the engaging portions are disengaged outward in the radial direction from the engagement portion to unlock the flap.
