  • Publication number: 20260052298
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for analyzing video content to detect and/or prioritize objects in the video content to determine placement of an overlay object that obscures a portion of the video content. The video content may be analyzed to determine areas of the video content to obscure, for example, by determining objects in the video content that have high priority to remain unobscured. Overlay objects that obscure video content may be placed over areas of low importance to the video content, for example, to enhance a viewer's experience of the content.

  • Publication number: 20250310588
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for synchronizing output of a content item between user devices. A first user device associated with a network device may broadcast a message to discover nearby devices that can provide access to a content item. A second user device may respond with information to access the content at the second user device. The second user device may send synchronization information to allow the first user device and the second user device to output the content item at least partially in sync. The first user device may use the information in the response to access the content from the second user device and output the content to a user.

  • Publication number: 20250139750
Abstract: Methods and systems for determining content quality are disclosed. At least one distortion associated with a content item may be determined. Based on the content item comprising a source content item, it may be determined that the at least one distortion comprises at least one intentional artifact. A quality score associated with the content item may be determined. The at least one intentional artifact may have no effect on the quality score or a lower effect on the quality score than an unintentional artifact associated with the content item.

  • Patent number: 12192572
Abstract: Methods and systems for packaging, transcoding, and fragmenting files (e.g., video content) are described. Video content may be transcoded into fix size, variable duration fragments files that satisfy a target fragment file size. Those fragment files may be received, decoded to recover original frames of the underlying video, and then repackaged as new fragment files that are grouped based on overall file size. As a result, the new fragments may have different playback durations, but their overall file sizes may be the same and/or within a target fragment file size (TFS).
