Abstract: Various embodiments of a fenestration unit component that is configured for adjustment along an adjustment axis are disclosed. The unit includes a base configured for attachment to a fenestration unit frame member, a first fastener opening extending through the base, and a second fastener opening extending through the base. The first fastener opening and the second fastener opening are aligned with each other along the adjustment axis that extends through the first fastener opening and the second fastener opening. The unit further includes a placement insert located and retained in the first fastener opening, where the insert includes a placement opening defining a fixed center within the first fastener opening. The placement opening is smaller than the first fastener opening. Further, the placement opening defines a fastener axis extending through the fixed center of the placement opening.

Abstract: Welded fenestration unit frames with enhanced water penetration and air infiltration performance and related methods are described herein. The welded fenestration unit frames include a 2-piece sill design including a sill member welded to side jambs and a separate sill stop attached to the sill member and side jambs. The fenestration unit frames may also include primary and secondary water containment and drainage features.

Abstract: Window opening control device assemblies including a sash restrictor and a restrictor cover, fenestration units including the window opening control device assemblies, and related methods. A restrictor cover is provided to substantially enclose the sash restrictor such that the sash restrictor is protected during shipping and installation of fenestration units using the sash restrictors.
