Patent number: 12243498Abstract: An electrophoretic display comprising a fluid including a first species of particles and a charge control agent disposed between first and second electrodes. When a first addressing impulse have an electrical polarity is applied to the medium, the first species of particles move in one direction relative to the electric field, but when a second addressing impulse, larger than the first addressing impulse but having the same electrical polarity, is applied to the medium, the first species of particles move in the opposed direction relative to the electric field.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2021Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: E Ink CorporationInventors: Stephen J. Publication number: 20250018280Abstract: Systems and methods described herein may provide a system that enables adjusting the settings of light sources on peripheral devices, such as gaming controllers, to calibrate the light output of the light sources within a dynamic gaming environment. In some aspects, calibrating the light sources may provide for more consistent color or brightness between different light sources on the gaming controller. Methods for performing automated light source calibration based on lighting in a gaming environment are described.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2023Publication date: January 16, 2025Applicant: Dell Products L.P.Inventors: Wei-Hsiang Chi, Jason Scott Morrison, YiMing Chou, Tyler Ryan Cox

Publication number: 20210012418Abstract: A request to generate a responsibility score is received that characterizes a likelihood of a change in a level of creditworthiness of an individual in response to at least one unknown financial event. Such responsibility score can provide useful insight into a consumer that is complementary to a credit score. Thereafter, a responsibility score is generated based on historical creditworthiness data for the individual using at least one predictive model. The at least one predictive model was trained using historical creditworthiness data of a plurality of consumers subjected to a plurality of financial events. In addition, the at least one predictive model associates the historical creditworthiness data of the individual with matching states for each of a plurality of pre-defined performance behaviors—with each pre-defined performance behavior having at least two corresponding states. The responsibility score can be later provided to a user (e.g., persisted, transmitted, displayed, etc.).Type: ApplicationFiled: June 22, 2020Publication date: January 14, 2021Inventors: Jeffrey A. Feinstein, Wei Jiang, Ryan Morrison, Shane De Zilwa

Patent number: 10757165Abstract: A system and method are provided for delegating entitlements to media services. The method includes storing, at an intermediary system operable between a plurality of service providers and a plurality of user devices, authorization data for each of a plurality of media services associated with a first user, the authorization data enabling the intermediary system to access the corresponding media service from a service provider on behalf of the first user. The method also includes, after detecting a request to access one of the plurality of media services by a second user, using a set of stored associations to determine whether or not the second user has been delegated an entitlement to the one of the plurality of media services by the first user.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2016Date of Patent: August 25, 2020Assignee: AMDOCS DEVELOPMENT LIMITEDInventors: Praveen Gangadharan, Gemini Waghmare, Jay Deen, Jingyu Wang, Ryan Morrison

Patent number: 9560054Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs for defining a first group of contacts, the first group of contacts having been specified by a first user of a social networking service and including contacts of the first user within the social networking service, each contact in the first group of contacts being associated with a first sub-group of contacts within the first group of contacts, the first group of contacts being associated with a distribution scheme for digital content provided by the first user within the social networking service, and associating, based on first input provided by the first user, one or more contacts of the first sub-group of contacts with a second sub-group of contacts within the first group of contacts, the second sub-group of contacts including contacts for which at least some digital content distributed to the first user is filtered from display to the first user.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2014Date of Patent: January 31, 2017Assignee: GOOGLE INC.Inventor: Ryan Morrison

Patent number: 9231939Abstract: A system and method for integrating business tools in a social networking environment. A proxy access module includes a social network application, a business registration engine, an application directory engine, an access request engine and a graphical user interface engine. The social network application receives input from a user for sharing the business tool with other members of a social network. The business registration engine receives and processes registration information for allowing access to a business tool. The application directory engine determines whether the user has permission to access the business tool. The access request engine receives and processes a request for accessing a business tool via a social network. The graphical user interface engine generates graphical data for displaying a business tool.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2012Date of Patent: January 5, 2016Assignee: Google Inc.Inventor: Ryan Morrison
