  • Publication number: 20220099562
Abstract: A fluid processing device includes a detection assembly having a light source, an adjustment system, and a light detector. The light source is associated with a component of the fluid processing device, provided in an initial position with respect to said component of the fluid processing device, and configured to emit a light. The adjustment system is associated with the light source and configured to adjust the position of the light source. The light detector is configured to receive at least a portion of the light from the light source and generate a signal indicative of the amount of light received by the light detector. The fluid processing device further includes a controller configured to receive the signal from the light detector and control the adjustment system to move the light source to a monitoring position based at least in part on the signal.

  • Publication number: 20170011477
Abstract: A method of marketing real estate is disclosed for real estate that contains a structure having an outer perimeter, rooms within the outer perimeter, and an environment surrounding the structure. The method may include: obtaining an aerial photograph of the real estate that includes the structure and the environment surrounding the structure; obtaining a floor plan of the structure that has an outer perimeter; creating a composite image of the aerial photograph and the floor plan by superimposing the floor plan on the aerial photograph such that the outer perimeter of the floor plan and the outer perimeter of the structure substantially overlap; and making the composite image available to one or more persons interested in purchasing or leasing the real estate.

  • Publication number: 20050155087
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a novel, target-blind approach to drug discovery. The concept is to model human phenotypes in a teleost, such as a zebrafish, and then screen compounds, e.g., small molecules, for their ability to alter the phenotype. Because the screen is performed with a whole vertebrate organism and uses a phenotype as the output, the need to first identify target genes is eliminated. This approach is powerful because a single screen can theoretically detect drugs affecting any target relevant to the phenotype being observed, even if those targets are not yet characterized.

  • Publication number: 20040023241
Abstract: Disclosed herein are nucleic acid sequences that encode novel polypeptides. Also disclosed are polypeptides encoded by these nucleic acid sequences, and antibodies that immunospecifically bind to the polypeptide, as well as derivatives, variants, mutants, or fragments of the novel polypeptide, polynucleotide, or antibody specific to the polypeptide. Vectors, host cells, antibodies and recombinant methods for producing the polypeptides and polynucleotides, as well as methods for using same are also included. The invention further discloses therapeutic, diagnostic and research methods for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders involving any one of these novel human nucleic acids and proteins.
