Abstract: Presently provided is a keyboard with at least one of the keys having a key stem configured and disposed to interface with, and removably hold, a keycap. The key stem extends upwardly from a keyboard switch or a keycap stabilizer and has two or more extensions extending outwardly from a common center. At least one flexible or springing member extends from or forms at least one of the extensions and applies retentive forces on interior surfaces of a keycap stem extending downwardly from a keycap's interior ceiling and removably holds the keycap with the key stem.

Abstract: Presently provided is a keyboard, key stabilizer mechanism, and method. At least one of the keys on the keyboard has a stabilizer mechanism with spaced apart bases. A stem is supported on each of the bases with perpendicularly disposed hinges. A wire is disposed to cooperate with a hinge supporting each of the stems.

Abstract: Presently provided is a keyboard and stabilizer mechanism, the stabilizer mechanism has a first housing slidingly receiving a first slider and a second housing slidingly receiving a second slider. A wire has arms extending through openings in the housings and into the sliders. The stabilizer mechanism also has at least one of biasing members in the sliders, wire holders extending from the housings, and extensions extending from the sliders.
