  • Publication number: 20250270178
Abstract: A method of producing a nitrate ester is disclosed and comprises reacting an alcohol compound and an electrophilic compound to form a sulfonate compound. The sulfonate compound is reacted with a nitrate containing compound to form the nitrate ester. Additional methods of producing glycidyl nitrate or a nitrate ester are also disclosed.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 28, 2025
    Publication date: August 28, 2025
Inventors: Ryan P. Brisbin, Christina N. Christensen
  • Publication number: 20250230133
Abstract: Provided are luminescent organic compounds containing a benzoyl group covalently bonded to a pyrazine group, along with methods of synthesizing such compounds. The luminescent compounds can be used in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), which can be used in OLED lights or in OLED displays, such as television screens. By varying the voltage applied to such luminescent organic compounds, their emissions spectra can be varied, such as to produce white light or to produce a desired color of light.

Inventors: Ryan D. Baxter, Ryan P. Brisbin, Sayantani Ghosh
  • Patent number: 11358880
Abstract: Production of decontaminated water from contaminated water using a vessel, an inlet to the vessel wherein the contaminated water is introduced into the vessel, an outlet to the vessel wherein the decontaminated water is removed from the vessel, a plasmonic-photocatalyst membrane connected to the vessel, plasmonic nanoparticles or nanostructures connected to the plasmonic-photocatalyst membrane, and a source of ultraviolet light that directs ultraviolet light onto the vessel, the plasmonic-photocatalyst membrane, the plasmonic nanoparticles or nanostructures, and the contaminated water to produce the decontaminated water from the contaminated water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 31, 2020
Date of Patent: June 14, 2022
Assignee: Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC
Inventors: Ryan P. Brisbin, Jenny Zhou, Allan S. Chang, Tiziana C. Bond, Aaron J. Simon, Lars Voss
