    Abstract: A handheld device that can be reconfigured according to environment data. The handheld device can connect to different docking stations and the handheld device may be reconfigured differently for each docking station. When the handheld device connects to a docking station, the handheld device receives a set of parameters (environment data) and the handheld device uses this set of parameters to reconfigure itself. The reconfiguration includes selecting an application based on the set of parameters and launching the selected application.
