  • Patent number: 11112212
Abstract: A secure storage system may provide secure, portable, and rapidly accessible storage for articles such as firearms. Such a system may have a shell with first and second shell members that can be closed to keep the articles secure, or opened to provide accessibility. A locking mechanism may be used to lock the shell in the closed configuration. The locking mechanism may be controlled by a wireless receiver that receives a signal to unlock the shell. The shell may include a secure-side programming interface to allow a user to set control system parameters when the system is in the unlocked state.

  • Patent number: 10533363
Abstract: A stand-up gun safe comprises a substantially vertical, but moderately tilted, spine that supports one or more hinges, which in turn support two shell components that rotate relative to the spine and swivel relative to each other. In a closed configuration, the respective edges of the two shell components abut each other, creating a secure seam. In an open configuration, the two shell components are separated from each other as they swivel and rotate away from each other on the hinges secured to the spine. A locking mechanism keeps the two shell components in a closed state. Because the spine is tilted, and the two shells are located on the top of the spine, when the lock is released gravity forces the two shells apart from each other, thereby resulting in a gravity-powered opening.

  • Patent number: 10531167
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus for security and monitoring are disclosed. In one embodiment, a small device with five sensors (temperature, light, motion, accelerometer, sound) includes a processor, local data storage, and WiFi and Bluetooth communication capabilities. The device may collect data through its sensors and may store such data on its local storage and/or may transmit such data to a remote monitoring server over WiFi (to a local router first over WiFi) and may also transmit data to a mobile device over Bluetooth. The mobile device and remote monitoring server may also configure the device. The device includes a power management scheme including heartbeats and minimized sampling rates.

  • Publication number: 20160042582
Abstract: A lock, such as a padlock or a door lock, having radio frequency identification (RFID) and/or Bluetooth capabilities is disclosed. The control system in the lock may obtain identifying information from a user device presented close to the lock, and operates an actuator to unlock the lock based on the identifying information. The lock may include both an RFID reader and a Bluetooth system in a single device, and may automatically lock and unlock the lock by detecting a presence or an absence of a user device near the lock. At least a portion of a front face of the lock may be made of non-metallic material. The lock may include an indicator for indicating a power-on state, a Bluetooth connection status, a locked or unlocked status, and/or a low-battery state.

  • Patent number: 8191921
Abstract: A utility trailer, as for example may be towed behind a vehicle, is disclosed. A description of the assembly, reconfiguration, expandability and folding of the trailer is described. The trailer is easy to store, manufacture, reconfigure and disassemble in large measure due to the unique repeated nature of the main frame components. The frame components can also be removed from the trailer assembly and reconfiguring into different useful devices. The reconfiguration requires minimal additional hardware and is further simplified by the locking mechanisms, located at the connection locations of is each frame panel. The trailer/accessory system also offers advantages over other trailers in that it may be maintained by replacement of common panel components. The wheel assemblies are also collapsible to further reduce necessary storage space and shipping requirements.
