Publication number: 20240067334Abstract: An autonomous vehicle that is equipped with image capture devices can use information gathered from the image capture devices to plan a future three-dimensional (3D) trajectory through a physical environment. To this end, a technique is described for image-space based motion planning. In an embodiment, a planned 3D trajectory is projected into an image-space of an image captured by the autonomous vehicle. The planned 3D trajectory is then optimized according to a cost function derived from information (e.g., depth estimates) in the captured image. The cost function associates higher cost values with identified regions of the captured image that are associated with areas of the physical environment into which travel is risky or otherwise undesirable. The autonomous vehicle is thereby encouraged to avoid these areas while satisfying other motion planning objectives.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 8, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: Skydio, Inc.Inventors: Ryan David Kennedy, Peter Benjamin Henry, Hayk Martirosyan, Jack Louis Zhu, Abraham Galton Bachrach, Adam Parker Bry

Patent number: 11511205Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to playground climbing structures that provide a pathway defined by a lower surface and bound on each side by a sidewall. The structures may comprise sensory play activities on the interior of the sidewalls as well as on the exterior of the sidewalls. The climbing structure is also adapted so as to be accessible to children of varying physical abilities, including for instance children with disabilities, such as by having at least one platform configured for access from a wheelchair or other mobility device and incremental adjustments in elevation that may be navigated by a child with limited mobility. Embodiments of the climbing structures are assembled from a plurality of components, which can be connected together in a variety of configurations to provide custom modular structures.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2021Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Assignee: PLAYCORE WISCONSIN, INC.Inventors: Thomas Robert Norquist, Kim Corvin Blackwood, Charles Lebron Griffith, IV, Anthony Ryan Parker

Patent number: 10880290Abstract: A comprehensive authentication and identity system and method are disclosed. A central profile is created for a user which includes user information that can be passed back or otherwise utilized by websites (e.g. for registrations, logins, etc.) The user information may include the user's username, password, contact information, personal information, marketing preferences, financial information, etc. For website registrations, the user may provide a mobile communication number that is utilized to perform a type of mobile communication device verification process. As part of a website login, the user may provide identifiable information (e.g. a username) that is looked up by the system or website to determine a mobile communication number for the user, which is used for a verification process. If the verification process is completed successfully, the user may be logged into the website. For accessing the system directly, a user may go through a mobile communication device verification process.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2017Date of Patent: December 29, 2020Assignee: TeleSign CorporationInventors: Darren Berkovitz, Ryan Parker Disraeli, Stacy Lyn Stubblefield

Patent number: 10826910Abstract: A frictionless multi-factor authentication system and method (“FMFA system”) that facilitates verification of the identity of a website user, registrant or applicant. The FMFA system reduces or removes the burden on the user by eliminating the additional manual second step traditionally required by two-factor authentication methods, and replacing the second step with an automated authentication step based on the location of a mobile device that is associated with the user. The FMFA system may be utilized for authenticating users to access sensitive data on online accounts, applications and websites, download files, perform online transactions, store information through websites or data stores, or the like. The FMFA system allows registration information obtained from a previously-registered user to authenticate the user on subsequent visits or logins to the website.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2018Date of Patent: November 3, 2020Assignee: TeleSign CorporationInventor: Ryan Parker Disraeli
