  • Publication number: 20240076887
Abstract: A clamp apparatus is used for securing one end of a flexible sheet spanning under tension across a building opening relative to a perimeter beam along the edge of the building opening. The clamp apparatus has a C-shaped channel body having (i) a first flange with a threaded bore therein to receive a bolt defining a first clamping jaw and (ii) a second flange defining an opposing second clamping jaw, whereby the clamp apparatus clamps a perimeter mounted flange of the flexible sheet onto a beam flange of the perimeter beam. C-shaped stiffener plates are mounted externally on the channel body, spaced apart from one another along the length of the channel body in perpendicular relation to the length to reinforce the clamp such that the clamp is able to withstand high wind forces acting on the tensioned sheet.

  • Patent number: 11920225
Abstract: Elements formed from magnetic materials and their methods of manufacture are presented. Magnetic materials include a magnetic alloy material, such as, for example, an Fe-Co alloy material (e.g., the Fe-Co-V alloy Hiperco-50(R)). The magnetic alloy materials may comprise a powdered material suitable for use in additive manufacturing techniques, such as, for example direct energy deposition or laser powder bed fusion. Manufacturing techniques include the use of variable deposition time and energy to control the magnetic and structural properties of the materials by altering the microstructure and residual stresses within the material. Manufacturing techniques also include post deposition processing, such as, for example, machining and heat treating. Heat treating may include a multi-step process during which the material is heated, held and then cooled in a series of controlled steps such that a specific history of stored internal energy is created within the material.

  • Publication number: 20240070780
Abstract: A computing device facilitates selection of (i) a data-object currency for a data object of a construction project and (ii) an exchange rate for converting between the data-object currency and a project currency. Based on project-level currency settings and permissions information, currency options from which a given user is permitted to select a data-object currency for the data object are identified and presented for selection. After selection of the data-object currency, based on the permissions information and information about the data object, exchange rate options from which the given user is permitted to select an exchange rate for converting between the data-object currency and the project currency are identified and presented for selection. After selection of the exchange rate, cost values for line items of the data object are converted from the data-object currency to the project currency using the exchange rate and dynamically updated based on cost value modifications.
