  • Publication number: 20250353353
Abstract: An air intake system for a vehicle HVAC system is provided. The system includes a housing with air inlets and an outlet where air flows to a fan within an HVAC system. The air inlet comprising a first air inlet that is aligned to allow air to flow therethrough and into the inner volume from a passenger compartment of a vehicle and a second air inlet that is configured to allow air to flow into the inner volume from outside of a vehicle. A valve with a blocking surface that is movable with respect to the housing to allow or block air flow through a recirculating air inlet. The blocking surface receives torque from an input that is disposed radially outboard of the blocking surface.

  • Publication number: 20250207806
Abstract: A housing for an HVAC system. The housing includes a wall that supports and encloses a fan within an internal volume therein, the wall defines an inlet aperture that directs air into a suction inlet of the fan such that rotation of the fan urges air into the internal volume through the inlet aperture. The inlet aperture is defined by an outer boundary, the outer boundary formed within the wall and includes an outer extension that extends upwardly from the wall around the entire circumference of the wall that forms the inlet aperture. A grill that extends across the inlet aperture.

  • Publication number: 20250026176
Abstract: An air mixing damper system is provided. The system includes a first rotatable door that rotates about a first shaft that extends along a first axis, and a second rotatable door that rotates about a second shaft, the second shaft disposed along a second axis, the second axis is collinear with the first axis. The first door is rotatable about the first axis and the second door is rotatable about the second axis. A first actuator operatively engaged with the first shaft. A second actuator operatively engaged with the second shaft, wherein the first and second doors are each capable of rotating independently of the other of the first and second doors. An air circulation assembly with the damper system is provided.
