  • Patent number: 8713877
Abstract: Edging strips for concrete floors employ parallel strips as lost formwork secured to removable timber formwork using a nailing bracket that has a horizontal plate section 32 and a vertical plate section 35, the horizontal plate section slides underneath one of the strips as the strips separate due to concrete contraction and supports a filler by bridging under the filler, the horizontal plate section comprises an elongate section of the horizontal plate section having lobes 33 and 34 at each end. These lobes are welded to the underside of one of the strips 11 or 12 with the other strip located on top of the elongate section. The vertical plate is a fixing plate 35 with predrilled holes for nailing to the timber form, the elongate section having tapered corners opposite each lobe and the vertical plate extending in a plane located between the lobes.

  • Publication number: 20080046828
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture enables users to collaborate on an actual stored drawing document across a network. A single document is stored on a server who establishes a collaboration session with multiple users that collaborate in real time and dynamically view modifications executed by the users. Users maintain simultaneous write access to the document. Asynchronous commands are received from users, that have a delay of a defined time period, include any modifications made in real time by the user transmitting the asynchronous command, and cause the server to transmit any modifications to all of the multiple users in the collaboration session. The server also maintains a history of all modifications to the actual stored drawing document. The history can be used by a user to undo any user's modifications.

  • Patent number: 6003755
Abstract: Aluminum-lithium alloy sheets which are welded together are examined to identify regions requiring repair. A grid is applied to the sheet about the region requiring repair, and the region to be repaired is ground out and rewelded. Residual stresses are relieved by planishing yes to cause localized plastic deformation in the repaired region. The grid is used as a guide to restoring the original dimensions of the sheet in a manner which tends to reduce in-plane shrinkage. The reduced in-plane shrinkage in turn tends to reduce undesired tensile residual stresses. The planishing also tends to work-harden the weld filler.
