  • Patent number: 9662103
Abstract: A bone anchor inserter according to embodiments of the present invention includes a shaft configured to interface with a bone anchor, a proper depth indicator on the shaft, an upper visual indicator on the shaft, the upper visual indicator located adjacent to the proper depth indicator on a first side of the proper depth indicator furthest from the bone anchor, and a lower visual indicator on the shaft, the lower visual indicator located adjacent to the proper depth indicator on a second side of the proper depth indicator opposite from the first side, the lower visual indicator being visually distinct from the upper visual indicator.

  • Patent number: 8632603
Abstract: A system for securing a prosthesis in a bone includes a reference anchor for insertion into a cavity of a bone to define a reference point during prosthesis implantation, the reference anchor including a body having a mating feature and a gripping projection for engaging an inner surface of the bone cavity. The system also includes a stem having a terminal end adapted to mate with the engagement feature of the reference anchor such that the stem is disposed at a desired position relative to the reference point.

  • Publication number: 20120239085
Abstract: A system for suture implantation according to embodiments of the present invention includes a suture implant component including a body which extends along a longitudinal dimension, the body including an opening configured to receive a suture, the body configured for attachment to the suture, the body being deformable, upon application of a tension to the suture, between a resting configuration in which the body has a first longitudinal dimension and a first transverse dimension, and an active configuration in which the body has a second longitudinal dimension smaller than the first longitudinal dimension and a second transverse dimension larger than the first transverse dimension, and further including a wall arranged about the longitudinal dimension, wherein the wall is deformable in an accordion-like manner as the body deforms from the resting configuration to the active configuration.

  • Publication number: 20100107829
Abstract: A torque limiting driver for applying up to a maximum torque to an associated driven member. In one embodiment, the driver includes first and second rotatable members with proximal and distal ends. A torque limiting assembly may be operatively coupling the distal end of the first rotatable member with the proximal end of the second rotatable member. The torque limiting assembly may include a plurality of torque limiting devices that are arranged to sequentially uncouple the second rotatable member from a torque load applied to the first rotatable member when the torque load exceeds the preselected maximum torque.
