    Abstract: Methodologies and manufacturing processes to manufacture components by electron beam melting additive manufacturing, particularly components of molybdenum or a molybdenum-based alloy and particularly of complex nuclear component geometries. Input parameters are provided for controlling electron beam melting additive manufacturing equipment, such as electron beam melting machines. The input parameters relate to various process steps, including build set-up, initial thermal treatment, initial layering of powder, pre-consolidation thermal treatment, consolidation, post-consolidation thermal treatment, indexing of layers, and post-build thermal treatment. The methodologies and manufacturing processes allow manufacture of components of molybdenum having a purity of ?99.0% and a density of ?99.75%. Metallographic cross-sections of the manufactured molybdenum components were porosity-free and crack-free.

A data stream is initiated. This stream includes different types of packets. Error correcting code (ECC) is selectively imposed on a control data type packet. A transmitter node and a receiver node are connected via a hard link that has multiple virtual channels. Each virtual channel is associated with a corresponding power-consuming node. When the receiver node receives the control data type packet, error correction is performed if needed without re-transmittal. When a final data type packet is transmitted for each virtual channel, the transmitter node transmits an end condition type packet. A corresponding power-consuming node that corresponds to the respective virtual channel transitions from an active state to a low power state.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for provisioning and operating a primary security device in a verifiable end-to-end election system are presented herein. The security device serves as a root of trust for chains of certificates that are deployed and utilized throughout the election process. These chains of certificates, originating with the device, which acts as an intermediate certification authority, are used to create a verifiable trust chain throughout the different parts of the election process, the trust chain being traceable back to the device and to the original root of trust certificate. In various embodiments the security device includes a compute module, a security chip, a connection to an interface device, at least one lockable transfer device port, and an air-gapped main board to house the compute module, the security chip, and the lockable transfer device port.

The housing includes a vent aperture configured to provide fluid communication between the internal cavity and ambient air surrounding the pressure valve and an accessory aperture configured to couple an accessory to the housing. A seal seat is positioned within the internal cavity fluidly between the vent aperture and the bottom opening. A pressure control assembly is coupled to the housing. The pressure control assembly breaks a sealing engagement with the seal seat to provide fluid communication between the vessel and the vent aperture in response to a desired positive pressure being reached within the vessel or in response to a negative pressure being reached in the vessel. The accessory aperture is positioned between the bottom opening and the seal seat.
