  • Patent number: 10813651
Abstract: A collector used to collect bone includes: a container body defining an interior containment space for receiving and retaining collected bone, and having at least one open end for access and removal of collected bone from the interior containment space; and a cap in covering relation to the open end of the container body such that access to the interior containment space for removal of collected bone is inhibited. The collector includes an intake port defining an opening for receiving therein a distal end of a kerrison rongeur for collecting cut bone from a cutting area thereof, and the cap includes at least one scraper for engaging and dislodging cut bone from the cutting area of a distal end of a kerrison rongeur when received within the intake port. The collector preferably is used with a kerrison-type rongeur for collecting cut bone therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20190358406
Abstract: Apparatus for delivery of bone includes a syringe body and a plunger. The syringe body includes a tip at a bottom thereof, a funnel-shaped top at the top thereof, and a tubular section having a generally cylindrical interior wall defining a passageway extending from the funnel-shaped top to the tip. The plunger includes an elongate piston, a press head, and a handle The piston extends between the press head at a lower end of the plunger, and the handle at an upper end of the plunger. The plunger is removably received within the passageway, with an extent of the plunger extending out of the funnel-shaped top away from the syringe body. The syringe body may be loaded with one or more bone pellets or cartridges containing bone.

  • Publication number: 20140261012
Abstract: In another aspect, a cooking grill includes a housing and a lid defining an enclosed cooking chamber when the lid is closed; a heating element located in the housing; and a rack movable between a first location extending over the heating element and a second location not over the heating element. The cooking grill further includes a plurality of grilling modules that are individually removable from, and supported on, the rack. Each grilling module defines a cooking surface having passageways therein for directly exposing food to rising heat from the heating element when the rack is in the first position. The passageways preferably are in the form of slots.
