  • Patent number: 5850802
Abstract: A collapsible boat anchor (12) comprising four side panels (13, 13a, 13b and 13c) each hingeably connected to the next as to form a square. To the forward and rearward side panels (13 and 13b) respectively are affixed a plurality of flukes (14 through 20a) arranged in upper and lower configuration as to allow the anchor (12) to set on whichever side it may fall. Moveable attached to the inside of the anchor at forward side panel (13) and right side panel (13c) is a center stabilizing bar (30). The center stabilizing bar (30) secures the anchor in an open and locked position while engaged, but facilitates collapse of the anchor for storage while disengaged. To provide a tie-off location for an anchor line, a lead arm (28) is pivotably affixed to the anchor at a anchor pull ring (26).

  • Patent number: 5699864
Abstract: An elongated stake having a sharply pointed lower end and a polygonal shaped upper end. A hammer is slidably mounted on the stake and is limited in its travel by an upper abutment located at the upper end and a lower abutment located about midway between the upper end and the lower end. Mounted at the upper end is a first tie down ring with a second tie down ring being mounted at the lower abutment with these tie down rings facing in opposite directions. Repeatedly impactingly moving of the hammer against the lower abutment will result in the lower end of the stake to be driven into a supporting surface. A resilient cover is mounted about the hammer which includes a strap to enclose the user's hand preventing injury to the user during hammer usage. A separate tent stake is to be engageable with the upper end and repeated impacting movements of the hammer against the upper abutment is to result in driving of the tent stake into a supporting surface.

  • Patent number: 5577455
Abstract: A watercraft protection mat that is to be placed at the shoreline prior to beaching of a watercraft. The watercraft, when being beached, is to have its hull to be maneuvered onto the mat. The mat is to include appropriate openings to facilitate its connection with a plurality of fasteners that function as a tie down arrangement to secure the mat in position at the shoreline. The heads of the fasteners are to be covered by a covering flap when the mat is in use. The mat is to include appropriate weights so that it will sink within the water. The weights are each to include loose particulate matter that will conform to irregular shapes located at the shore insuring that the mat will rest evenly on the shore. The mat also includes elongated rigid members which function as stiffeners to keep the mat from bunching up, thereby retaining its established position. The mat is to be constructed of a plurality of layers with there being a cushiony layer located in between a top layer and a bottom layer.
