  • Patent number: 12603803
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for a polar transmitter using a reduced frequency modulation (FM) range. Baseband complex data can be converted into magnitude and phase components by a cartesian-to-polar conversion module. For each respective phase of the phase component, a phase selection can be determined from a plurality of phase selection candidates and used to generate a phase select parameter and a modified phase for the respective phase. A set of clock signals includes a clock signal with a frequency controlled by the modified phase, and one or more shifted clock signals with phase shifts relative to the clock signal. An input clock signal can be selected from the set using the phase select parameter. A power amplifier can be driven by the magnitude component according to the input clock signal to generate a RF signal for transmission by the polar transmitter on a wireless medium.

  • Publication number: 20260031822
Abstract: Wireless communication devices have an all-digital phase locked loop (ADPLL) including a digital controlled oscillator, a counter, a time to digital converter, a phase detector, and a digital loop filter. The digital controlled oscillator (DCO) generates a DCO output signal (CKV) to synchronize with a reference clock signal (FREF), and the counter generates an integer part from CKV. The time to digital converter detects a time difference between a reduced frequency signal and FREF, where this reduced frequency signal is generated from CKV. The phase detector estimates a fractional part based on the time difference and derives a phase error based on the integer part from the counter, the fractional part, and a goal frequency. The digital loop filter receives the phase error and provides tracking codes to the DCO to adjust the frequency of its output signal.

  • Publication number: 20250303060
Abstract: Pump includes a motor, a cam shaft coupled to the motor for rotation about a longitudinal axis of the cam shaft, the cam shaft having at least one radially-outward projection defining a helical engagement portion disposed along a length of the cam shaft, and a plurality of finger plates disposed along the length of the cam shaft, each finger plate mounted for movement in a transverse direction relative to the longitudinal axis of the cam shaft, each finger plate having an aperture defined therein to receive the cam shaft therethrough, each aperture having a substantially straight edge region and an opposing edge region. Engagement of the helical engagement portion with the substantially flat edge region during rotation of the cam shaft urges the finger plate transversely toward an extended position. Systems and techniques for delivering a beneficial agent to a user are also provided.

  • Patent number: 12240090
Abstract: A battery-operated palm stapler, an insert for holding a fastener, and a method of installing a fastener using the palm stapler. The stapler includes a housing with a telescoping barrel extending outwardly therefrom. An insert is engaged in the barrel's bore and is held in place by magnets. The insert body defines a slot for receiving fasteners therein. The slot extends from a top wall of the body to a bottom wall thereof. At least one magnet is provided in the body adjacent the slot and is used to hold fasteners in a correct orientation for installation. A sensor probe provided in the body is operable to detect if voltage is carried in electrical cables adjacent which fasteners are to be installed. The probe deactivates a hammer actuating mechanism if voltage is detected. Inserts holding different types of fastener may be selectively engaged with the palm stapler.

  • Patent number: 12073227
Abstract: A processor core energy-efficiency core ranking scheme akin to a favored core in a multi-core processor system. The favored core is the energy-efficient core that allows an SoC to use the core with the lowest Vmin for energy-efficiency. Such Vmin values may be fused in appropriate registers or stored in NVM during HVM. An OS scheduler achieves optimal energy performance using the core ranking information to schedule certain applications on the core with lowest Vmin. A bootstrap flow identifies a bootstrap processor core (BSP) as the most energy efficiency core of the SoC and assigns that core the lowest APIC ID value according to the lowest Vmin. Upon reading the fuses or NVM, the microcode/BIOS calculates and ranks the cores. As such, microcode/BIOS calculates and ranks core APIC IDs based on efficiency around LFM frequencies. Based on the calculated and ranked cores, the microcode or BIOS transfers BSP ownership to the most efficiency core.
