  • Publication number: 20210406039
Abstract: At a managed control plane service, end-user application programming interfaces (APIs) of an application to be implemented at a provider network are determined. A set of common operational requirements of the application, to be fulfilled without obtaining program code for the requirements, are identified. In response to an invocation of an end-user API of the application, computations are performed at a resource selected by the managed control plane service, and one or more tasks to satisfy a common operational requirement are initiated by the managed control plane service.

  • Publication number: 20210387228
Abstract: A spray application system and a method of its operation are provided for applying a spray treatment onto a surface of an airframe of an aircraft. The spray application system includes a set of multiple modular hood units that are combinable to form a combined enclosure that defines a shared interior volume. Each modular hood unit of the set includes one or more enclosure walls. At least two airframe-interfacing edges of each modular hood unit define a portion of a spray treatment region of the airframe. At least one inter-unit-interfacing edge of each modular hood unit is configured to interface with another inter-unit-interfacing edge of a neighboring modular hood unit of the set to form at least a portion of the combined enclosure. A spray access port is defined within an enclosure wall of each modular hood unit.

  • Publication number: 20210333720
Abstract: A compensator for manipulating a radiation beam traveling along an optical path. The compensator includes a fixed support holding a first optical wedge and an adjustable support holding a second optical wedge. The adjustable support includes a base, a stage holding the second optical wedge, first and second flexures, and a drive block. The stage defines a cavity and is movable relative to the base and the fixed support. The first and second flexures couple the stage to the base such that the stage translates along a stage path. The drive block is disposed in the cavity of the stage and is configured to translate along a drive block path perpendicular to the optical path and perpendicular to the stage path. The drive block includes first and second drive bearing surfaces configured to translate the stage in first and second stage directions, respectively, along the stage path.

  • Publication number: 20200284551
Abstract: A direct view optical sighting system. In certain examples the system includes an eyepiece, an objective that directs scene light to the eyepiece, a laser rangefinder, and a laser rangefinder coupling prism that directs a laser transmit beam from the laser rangefinder to the objective and a laser return beam from the objective to the laser rangefinder. Examples of the system further include a display assembly including a reticle prism and a display coupling prism, the reticle prism being positioned along the optical path between the laser rangefinder coupling prism and the display coupling prism and having a hard reticle formed on a surface thereof. The objective can be configured to produce a first focal plane of the optical sighting system coincident with the first surface of the reticle prism. The display coupling prism is configured to direct display light toward the eyepiece.

  • Patent number: 10480785
Abstract: A torch includes a body, a fuel tank and a microjet burner. The torch also includes an ignition button that is movable relative to the body between an upper position and a depressed position, and a cap assembly, which includes a lower cap and a safety cap rotatably coupled with the lower cap. The safety cap includes an ignition button guard, defines a flame portal, and is rotatable between a closed position and an armed position. When the safety cap is in the closed position, the ignition button guard is aligned with the ignition button and inhibits access to the ignition button, and the safety cap covers the microjet burner. When the safety cap is in the armed position, the flame portal is aligned with the microjet burner, and the ignition button guard is misaligned with the ignition button, and access to the ignition button is unobstructed.

  • Publication number: 20190282307
Abstract: System and method for tracking and control in medical procedures. The system including a device that deploys fluorescent material on at least one of an organ under surgery and a surgical tool, a visual light source, a fluorescent light source corresponding to an excitation wavelength of the fluorescent material, an image acquisition and control element that controls the visual light source and the fluorescent light source, and captures and digitizes at least one of resulting visual images and fluorescent images, and an image-based, tracking module that applies image processing to the visual and fluorescent images, the image processing detecting fluorescent markers on at least one of the organ and the surgical tool.
