  • Publication number: 20250053765
Abstract: A barcode-reading device can send barcode images to a remote server for decoding. A decoder on the remote server can process the images and attempt to decode any barcodes in the images. Once the decoder on the remote server has successfully decoded a barcode, the remote server can send the decoded data back to the barcode-reading device and/or to a host computing device that is communicatively coupled to the barcode-reading device. If the barcode-reading device receives the decoded data, the barcode-reading device can forward the decoded data to the host computing device. In some embodiments, a barcode-reading device can send all captured images to the remote server. Alternatively, a barcode-reading device can send only some captured images to the remote server. In some embodiments, a barcode-reading device can be configured to perform one or more preliminary processing operations on an image before sending the image to the remote server.

  • Publication number: 20240378310
Abstract: Techniques for locally executing a feature control system on a computer system are disclosed. The feature control system locally controls a feature of an application, which is also locally executing on the computer system, such that both the feature control system and the application execute on the same infrastructure of the computer system. The application is accessed, and that application's feature is determined to have a first state during an initial usage of the application. The feature control system controls whether the feature is to continue to have the first state or is to transition to having a second state. The feature control system determines that the feature is to transition to having the second state. A local command is issued to transition the feature from having the first state to having the second state.

  • Publication number: 20240343089
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing energy consumption feedback for powering a transport climate control system using external data. This can include determining whether an energy level of an energy storage source is greater than an expected energy consumption of a transport climate control system during a route, based on route parameters and route conditions. The route conditions may be obtained from a source such as a remote server, and include data such as weather data, traffic data, or the like. The systems and methods may further compare current energy levels to an updated predictions of energy consumption during transit to determine if the energy level is sufficient to complete the route and alert the user when the energy level is insufficient to complete the route.
