Publication number: 20250255669Abstract: Technology is described that includes a method of surgical navigation. The method can include aligning an image data set with a body of a person. The image data set may include a virtual surgical annotation with visual attributes identifying structure to be treated. Locations of a portion of an instrument may be tracked with respect to the virtual surgical annotation (e.g., drill bit tips, burrs, scalpels, etc.). The visual attributes of at least one sub-area of the virtual surgical annotation may be modified based in part on tracked locations of the portion of the instrument, using an AR headset. For example, the sub-areas maybe changed from red to green, black or transparent as seen through the AR headset.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2024Publication date: August 14, 2025Inventors: Wendell Arlen Gibby, Steven Todd Cvetko, Ryan West

Publication number: 20250131663Abstract: Technology is described for referencing anatomical structure using an AR headset. The method can include registering a marker located on a distal anatomical structure. The marker may have a pose that includes a position and orientation in a 3D coordinate system of the AR headset. Another operation may be identifying a proximal anatomical structure to which the distal anatomical structure is connected. The marker may be registered at a second pose having a second position and second orientation. A joint pivot axis and angle may be determined with respect to the proximal anatomical structure by comparing the first pose and the second pose. The joint pivot axis may then be displayed, using the AR headset. The technology may also use a pointer device to automatically find an anatomic path and anatomic length.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2023Publication date: April 24, 2025Inventors: Wendell Arlen Gibby, Steven Todd Cvetko, Joel Lyon, Ryan West

Publication number: 20240346410Abstract: A method and a system for using machine learning technology to optimize a scheduling strategy for establishing contact with a customer are provided. The method includes: receiving a data set that relates to a customer account; analyzing the data set to determine at least one proposed schedule for an attempt to contact the customer; and generating, based on a result of the analysis, a report that includes the proposed schedule. The analysis may be performed by applying a machine learning model that is trained by using historical data that relates to interactions associated with the customer.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 11, 2023Publication date: October 17, 2024Applicant: JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.Inventors: Syed ALI, Tracey A. Patent number: 12096540Abstract: A microwave appliance provides safe heating of packaged food products at an efficiency greater than 90%. A temperature sensor positioned about a product holder is configured to sense a temperature of the package. A product identification scanner identifies a type of food product, a type of packaging, and/or a size of packaging being inserted into the microwave appliance. The product identification may be used to obtain a dielectric constant and/or electrical conductivity of the product. An electric field detector verifies that a suitable product has been inserted into the microwave appliance and is used to estimate a volume of the packaged food product. Accordingly, even partially full packaged food products may be safely re-heated to a desired temperature. As opposed to a time-based operation with traditional microwave appliances, operation of the microwave appliance may be adjusted based on the product identification scanner, temperature sensor, and electric field detector.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2019Date of Patent: September 17, 2024Assignee: The Coca-Cola CompanyInventors: Steven Romel Givens, Clayton Keith Burnett, Ryan West, Michael J. Patent number: 11770409Abstract: A computer-implemented method, computer system, and computer program product for threat management. A set of features used by a machine learning model is collected by the computer system to determine a threat type for an access attempt when the access attempt is detected. A cluster is determined, by the machine learning model in the computer system, for the access attempt using the set of features, wherein the machine learning model implements clustering to determine the cluster for the access attempt, and wherein the cluster for the access attempt corresponds to the threat type for the access attempt. A set of actions is performed by the machine learning model in the computer system based on the threat type determined for the access attempt.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2021Date of Patent: September 26, 2023Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: William Wesley Beaver, Oner Sufri, Kevin Potter, Shirley M. Publication number: 20220358528Abstract: An apparatus has a memory with processor-executable instructions and a processor operatively coupled to the memory. The apparatus receives datasets including time series data points that are descriptive of a feature of a given entity. The processor determines a time series characteristic based on the data content, and selects, based on the determined characteristic, a set of entrant forecasting models from a pool of forecasting models stored in the memory. Next, the processor trains each entrant forecasting model with the time series data points to produce a set of trained entrant forecasting models. The processor executes each trained entrant forecasting model to generate a set of forecasted values indicating estimations of the feature of the given entity. Thereafter the processor selects at least one forecasting model from the set of trained entrant forecasting models based on computed accuracy evaluations performed over the set of forecasted values.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2022Publication date: November 10, 2022Applicant: DataRobot, Inc.Inventors: John Bledsoe, Jeff Gabriel, Jason Montgomery, Ryan Sevey, Matt Steinpreis, Craig Vermeer, Ryan West
