  • Publication number: 20240127957
Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein relate to inferring a type of multiple sclerosis and determining whether to output an alert based on codes detected within noisy assessment data corresponding to a subject. The noisy assessment data includes content originating from a care provider that identifies a characteristic of the subject or of a treatment for the subject, and the subject has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. A temporal dynamic or distribution is determined based on instances of the code detection, and a modulation is determined based on the temporal dynamic or the distribution. It is determined whether an alert criterion is satisfied based on whether the modulation is above a threshold so as to represent noise or a predicted transition across types of multiple sclerosis. The inferred type of multiple sclerosis is output. When the alert criterion is satisfied, an alert is output as well.

  • Publication number: 20240119112
Abstract: A computing system including a quantum computing device and a classical computing device. The computing system computes an estimated unitary matrix over a plurality of iterations that each include, at a processor, computing a current-iteration exponent, a current-iteration error parameter, and a conjugate transpose of a current-iteration estimate of the unitary matrix. Each iteration further includes transmitting the current-iteration exponent, the current-iteration error parameter, and the conjugate transpose to the quantum computing device. At the quantum computing device, each iteration further includes computing a process tomography result and outputting the process tomography result to the classical computing device. At the processor, each iteration further includes computing a distance measure between the current-iteration estimate and the process tomography result, and, when the distance measure is below a predefined constant, updating the current-iteration estimate.

  • Publication number: 20240115824
Abstract: Systems and methods can determine respiratory rates of a patient using a respiratory device by performing one or more frequency analyses of a signal from the gases flow. The signal from the gases flow can be one that varies with the patient's breathing. The system can include a non-sealed patient interface, such as a nasal cannula in a nasal high flow therapy, or any other patient interfaces. The respiratory system can also detect whether the patient has taken off the patient interface and/or whether the patient connected to the patient interface is talking or eating. Data of the patient's use of the respiratory system and the patient's respiratory rates can provide therapy compliance and long-term trend of use information and/or progress in the patient's respiratory functions and/or other physiological functions.

  • Patent number: 11940957
Abstract: In some embodiments, a computer system may buffer, in a local storage buffer, data to be stored at the cloud and upload the data to the cloud storage from the local storage buffer. Upon receipt of an acknowledgement, from the cloud storage, that the data was successfully uploaded, the computer system may delete the data from the local storage buffer. The computer system may provide a ghost file representation of the uploaded data through the computer system, through which the data uploaded to the cloud storage may be accessed. In some embodiments, the computer system may access multiple cloud storage accounts, each corresponding to a file folder on the computer system, allowing the user to easily access different cloud storage accounts. The computer system may recover data that was deleted from either local persistent storage or the cloud storage.

  • Patent number: 11928964
Abstract: A parking availability predictor system provides a prediction of parking availability that meets a user's specified needs. When the user submits a query for parking availability, he can include desired parking criteria such as location, handicapped status, and desired time to begin parking. The system consults a parking occupancy model which gathers current and historical information about parking occupancy, including parking durations and durations of vacancies between occupancies. The model processes the gathered information into a statistical predictor of parking occupancy and vacancy. The system uses the predictor to predict when parking that meets the user's needs will become available. That prediction, including user-suitable parking locations along with the expected start of their vacancies, is then sent to the user in answer to his query.

  • Patent number: 11924106
Abstract: A system for facilitating sender-side granular congestion control is provided. During operation, the first and second processes of an application can run on sender and receiver nodes, respectively. A first buffer on the sender node can be allocated to the first process. For the first process, the system can then identify a second buffer at a last-hop switch of the receiver node. The system can determine, based on in-flight packets, the utilization of the second buffer. The system can also determine a fraction of available space in the second buffer for packets from the first buffer based on the utilization. Subsequently, the system can determine whether the fraction of the available space can accommodate the next packet from the first buffer. If the fraction of the available space can accommodate the next packet, the system can allow the first process to send the next packet to the second process.

  • Patent number: 11880188
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the intelligent distribution of data for robotic, autonomous, and similar systems. To reduce the impact of multi-agent coordination on networked systems embodiments are disclosed that include the use of action-based constraints which yield constrained-action POMDP (CA-POMDP) models, and probabilistic constraint satisfaction for the resulting infinite-horizon finite state controllers. To enable constraint analysis over an infinite horizon, an unconstrained policy is first represented as a finite state controller (FSC). A combination of a Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) routine and a discrete optimization routine can be performed on the finite state controller to improve probabilistic constraint satisfaction of the finite state controller, while minimizing impact to a value function.
