  • Patent number: 11911024
Abstract: A slip knot suture construct system and method for securing multiple limbs of suture. The system includes a suture construct having a length of suture including a standing limb with a standing terminal end and a closing limb with a closing terminal end. The suture construct has three loops: a primary loop formed in the closing limb, the primary loop and closing limb extending to the standing limb, a secondary loop formed in the standing limb, and a locking loop formed in the length of suture between the primary loop and the secondary loop. A limb of suture extends through the primary loop. The limb of suture is secured in the suture construct by pulling the closing terminal end proximally, which pulls the primary loop holding the limb of suture through the locking loop and at least partially into the secondary loop.

  • Publication number: 20220338860
Abstract: A suture cleating system for arthroscopic or endoscopic cannula to facilitate suture management while preserving seal functionality. The suture cleating system includes an end cap with an aperture extending therethrough and one or more cleats extending therefrom. A cannula body extends distally from the end cap. A seal is connected between the cannula body and the end cap. The seal has a seal slit extending therethrough and the seal slit is substantially aligned with the aperture of the end cap. In use, a suture extends through the cannula, the seal slit, and the aperture in the end cap. The suture can be tensioned from the aperture in the end cap and secured in a suture slot between two cleats.

  • Publication number: 20220287706
Abstract: A knot pusher for quickly loading suture without needing to thread a distal end. The knot pusher includes an actuator housing having an actuator moveable between an open position and a closed position and an elongated tube extending from the actuator housing. The knot pusher includes at least two slots, a gate slot extending through the elongated tube and a suture loading slot extending through the elongated tube and traversing the gate slot. A moveable gate cross bar is connected to the actuator such that the gate cross bar moves with the actuator between the open position and the closed position. When the actuator is in the closed position, the gate cross bar extends through at least a portion of the suture loading slot. The knot pusher may also include an ergonomic loop handle that enforces the correct orientation of the knot pusher for use.

  • Publication number: 20220054164
Abstract: A cannula seal assembly with a compatible flexible cannula. The cannula includes a rigid cannula body having proximal and distal body ends. The cannula body is composed of material having a first thickness. A flexible thread extends along at least a portion of the cannula body from the distal body end toward the proximal body end. The thread is composed of material having a second thickness, which is less than a first thickness. The cannula is attachable to a cannula seal assembly. The assembly includes a housing having a primary seal and a secondary seal therein. The assembly has a spacer connected between the primary seal and the secondary seal and a reservoir between the primary seal and the secondary seal.

  • Publication number: 20220054168
Abstract: A driver for a medical implant having a shaft with a longitudinal throughbore, a slot formed in the distal end of the shaft, and a rod moveable longitudinally within the shaft to selectively interlock the shaft with a medical implant or to release the medical implant once it is positioned in place during a medical operation. A pair of opposing ribs may extend circumferentially about the distal end of the shaft to assist with interlocking to the medical implant. The shaft of the driver expands radially when the rod is moved to the advanced position to interlock to the medical implant, and contracts radially when the rod is moved to the retracted position to release the medical implant. The shaft may include knurling to assist with engagement to the medical implant.

  • Patent number: 11129607
Abstract: A system and method for securing a target body to a bone mass with a loop-in-loop suture anchor. The system generally includes suture material passing through a substrate (e.g., suture anchor). The suture material includes a splice that allows the suture material to be passed through the splice and around a target body, ultimately creating three loops in the suture material. By tensioning the loops and/or ends of the suture material, the loops bring the target body into a desired position relative to the bone mass and secure it in that position.

  • Publication number: 20210177459
Abstract: A seal shield system protects and preserves seal functionality within a cannula during usage while maintaining existing fluid management and reduced drag. The seal shield system includes an end cap with an aperture extending therethrough, a cannula body extending distally from the end cap, a seal shield connected to the end cap, the seal shield having a first thickness, and one or more seals connected to the seal shield such that the seal shield is connected between the end cap and the one or more seals, one of the one or more seals having a second thickness. The first thickness is smaller than the second thickness.

  • Publication number: 20200214689
Abstract: An anchor includes an expandable member configured to increase in size from a first pre-deployed condition to a second deployed condition; and a filament having a first filament end and a second filament end, and positioned in contacting relation to the expandable member in the second deployed condition. The anchor may also include a flat fibrous construct having a first end and a second end, and wherein the filament passes through the fibrous construct. The flat fibrous construct includes a first state in which the flat fibrous construct is uncompressed and extends along the longitudinal axis of the filament when in an unfolded and pre-deployed condition; and a second state in which the flat fibrous construct is compressed and expanded in a direction perpendicular to longitudinal axis of the filament in a deployed condition.
