  • Publication number: 20040045157
Abstract: A flexible wiring board according to the present invention comprising growing metal bumps 16 using a mask film patterned by photolithography. Fine openings can be formed with good precision, therefore, fine metal bumps 16 can be formed with good precision because laser beam is not used to form opening in a polyimide film. After metal bumps 16 have been formed, the mask film is removed and a liquid resin material is applied and dried to form a coating, which is then cured into a resin film. The coating can be etched at surface portions during coating stage to exposed the tops of metal bumps 16.

  • Patent number: 6427048
Abstract: A device for use in a television receiver for constantly recording a received program onto a recording medium such as a hard disk drive where a desired scene or program can be easily searched from recorded picture planes without an increase in circuit scale and costs. A picture plane area of a display is divided into a plurality of small picture plane areas and picture planes divided every predetermined time are displayed as index images in correspondence to the plurality of divided small picture plane areas respectively. When a desired one of the index images is designated, moving image information corresponding to the designated index image is read out from the hard disk drive and is displayed. An offset time of a predetermined amount is given to the index images which were divisionally displayed. The received video signal is compressed so that one field is set to a fixed length and is recorded onto the hard disk.

  • Publication number: 20010014203
Abstract: In a recording apparatus and a recording and reproducing method of image information which are suitable in a television receiver for constantly recording a received program onto a recording medium such as a hard disk drive, a desired scene or program can be easily searched from recorded picture planes and an increase in circuit scale and costs can be prevented. Specifically speaking, a picture plane area of a display is divided into a plurality of small picture plane areas 81A, 81B, . . . and picture planes divided every predetermined time are displayed as index images in correspondence to the plurality of divided small picture plane areas 81A, 81B, . . . , respectively. When a desired one of the index images is designated, moving image information corresponding to the designated index image is read out from the hard disk drive and is displayed. An offset time of a predetermined amount is given to the index images which were divisionally displayed.

  • Patent number: 6204886
Abstract: A received television broadcasting signal is always recorded to a hard disk. In the hard disk, by time-divisionally processing the recording and reproduction, they are executed in parallel. In the television broadcasting, when the user wants to see a video image which has already become a past image, a high speed reverse rotation reproduction is instructed by the user. The video image is switched from the video image by the television broadcasting to the reproduction video image reproduced from the hard disk. The user designates the reproducing position while seeing the video image reproduced by the reverse rotation. The forward rotation reproduction is started from the designated position. When a scene which the user wants to see is finished and the forward rotation reproduction is cancelled by the user, the video image is switched from the reproduction video image to the video image of the television broadcasting.

  • Patent number: 6011516
Abstract: A multiband antenna comprises an antenna device which is resonant at two or more different frequencies. The antenna device comprises a first antenna rod (7), a second antenna rod (8), and a distributed-constant dielectric resonator which is a coaxial dielectric resonator (1A) comprising a dielectric block (1A1). The first antenna rod (7) is electrically connected to an inner conductor (4) covering the inner surface of the dielectric block (1A1). The second antenna rod (8) is electrically connected to an outer conductor (5) covering an outer periphery of the dielectric block (1A1). In another structure, the dielectric resonator is a triplate dielectric resonator (1B) comprising two dielectric plates (1B1). The first antenna rod (7) is electrically connected to a center conductor (6) interposed between the dielectric plates (1B1). The second antenna rod (8) is electrically connected to outer conductors (5) covering the dielectric plates (1B1) at the side opposite to the center conductor (6).

  • Patent number: 5691737
Abstract: An exhibit explaining system to enable a plurality of visitors to receive an explanation of an exhibit at their own pace. Spectacle-type displays 51-1 to 51-10 are provided, the frequencies f1 to f10 of a carrier wave being set to be different from each other. Image generating devices 61-1 to 61-10 are provided to correspond to the spectacle-type displays 51-1 to 51-10. When operating explanation request button 52-1 of the spectacle-type display 51-1, a VTR 76-1 of the image generating device 61-1 with the corresponding channel is reproduced, which is output from a transmitter-receiver circuit 72-1 to the spectacle-type display 51-1 through an antenna 71-1 on a radio wave. In the spectacle-type display 51-1, this radio wave is demodulated to observe an image on an LCD thereof.

  • Patent number: 5451976
Abstract: An image display apparatus is described for reducing the possibility of the occurrence of minor discomforts such as headaches, eyestrain, fatigue and the like in users. A symbol indicating distance such as 1m, 3m, or .infin. is displayed on an outer periphery of a virtual image adjusting knob. When the user aligns a mark on the virtual image position adjusting knob with a position corresponding to one of the predetermined symbols, the virtual image is set so as to be displayed at a position corresponding to the symbol. Consequently, the user can more easily recognize the displayed position of the virtual image so that the generation of a minor discomfort due to long term use which is more than necessary of the image display apparatus is substantially reduced.
