  • Patent number: 8808795
Abstract: A method of producing a laminate film includes coating a support with coating solutions with at least two monolayer extrusion dies to provide layers. A difference in solubility parameter between the coating solution and a solute in the adjoining layer ?0.1 for respective coating solutions. Viscosity of the downstream side die coating solution is lower than that of an upstream side die. Each coating solution has a Capillary number Ca<1.7. A difference in surface tension |?2??1| between the adjoining layers satisfies |?2??1|>0.5 [mN/m], where ?1, ?2 are surface tensions of coating solution from upstream and downstream side dies, respectively. A ratio of a coating thickness h1 [?m] of the coating solution for an upper layer and a distance L [?m] of the upper layer from the support surface satisfies h1/L<0.14. Distance between discharge nozzles is ?1 mm and ?700 mm.

  • Publication number: 20110236570
Abstract: An extrusion coating apparatus applying the coating solution to the substrate through a bead in a state in which a continuously running belt-like substrate and a lip surface on an upstream side and a downstream side in the substrate running direction are adjacent to each other, including: a manifold to which a coating solution is supplied, a coating solution discharge opening discharging the coating solution onto the lip surface to the substrate through a slit through which the coating solution is passed from the manifold, and a spacer for regulating a coating width is provided in both end portions in a width direction of the slit; the spacer having a bending portion; further the spacer having a distal end portion formed to cover the lip surface on the upstream side; and the bending portion of the spacer being made of a material with a hardness of HRA 70 or more.
