  • Patent number: 9563298
Abstract: A method of fabricating a touch panel includes the steps of forming the touch panel from a forming material and a film with a conductive electrode formed with a conductive electrode region constituting a touch surface on a substrate film, and deforming the film with the conductive electrode and integrating with the forming material to fabricate the touch panel with a curved touch surface. The conductive electrode region in the film with the conductive electrode includes a discontinuous part for controlling a breakage of the conductive electrode region so that during a deformation of the film with the conductive electrode, a breakage occurs at one portion of a deformed part of the conductive electrode region and the conductive electrode region retains conductivity at two points sandwiching the deformed part therebetween.

  • Patent number: 9252770
Abstract: A touch sensor including a plurality of first electrode films and a plurality of second electrode films which are formed on a surface of a substrate and are arranged in different directions from each other; and a manufacturing method for the same. The manufacturing method includes: a first transfer step, which uses a transfer ribbon made by at least an insulating layer and an electrode-imparting layer which are entirely sequentially stacked as a transfer layer upon an elongated release film, attaches to a substrate only a portion of the transfer layer to which heat and pressure have been applied, and by stripping the release film, transfers the transfer layer in at least the shape of a first electrode film; and a second transfer step including attaching only the portion of the transfer layer to which the heat and the pressure had been applied and stripping the release film.

  • Publication number: 20130335375
Abstract: A method for fabricating a capacitive curved touch panel is provided for solving the problems of the conventional methods, i.e., unsuitableness of the methods for mass production and fabricating large touch panels and touch panels of complicated curved surface shapes. The method includes the steps of (a) preparing a patterned plate 13 by forming an electrode layer having a plurality of electrode regions 15 on a thermoplastic resin plate 11 with an electrically-conductive ink comprised of an electrically-conductive substance and a binder, (b) preparing a soft curved product 21 by heating to soften the patterned plate 13 and shaping the softened patterned plate on a die 22, and (c) cooling or allowing to cool the soft curved product to make the touch panel.
