    Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide cells, which accumulate in cancer tissues, are guaranteed to be safe for humans, and can be stably prepared. Moreover, it is another object of the present invention to provide a method for diagnosing a cancer and a method for treating a cancer, using the above-described cells expressing NIS, and to provide a composition for use in the diagnostic method and the treatment method. More specifically, the present invention relates to: dental pulp-derived pluripotent stem cells, which express a sodium iodide symporter (NIS); a composition for use in the treatment or diagnosis of a cancer, which is characterized in that the aforementioned cells are combined with a radionuclide; and a method for treating a cancer and a method for diagnosing a cancer, using the aforementioned composition.
