The transfer layer at least includes a decorative layer and an adhesive layer provided on an obverse side of the decorative layer. The adhesive layer includes a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer laminated on the first adhesive layer. The first adhesive layer is positioned on an obverse side of the second adhesive layer. The first adhesive layer is made of a first resin having thermal plasticity and has a lower viscosity than the second adhesive layer. The second adhesive layer is made of a second resin having thermal plasticity and has a higher glass-transition point than the first adhesive layer. Monomer units constituting the first resin and monomer units constituting the second resin are partly or entirely identical.

Abstract: A decorative article includes a substrate having opposite surfaces, and a decorative portion formed on one of the opposite surfaces of the substrate. The decorative portion includes an adhesive layer made of resin, a metallic layer, and a protective layer made of resin. The adhesive layer, the metallic layer, and the protective layer are laminated in this order from the one of the opposite surfaces of the substrate. The metallic layer is made of a metal exhibiting an elasticity of from 10 GPa or more to 150 GPa or less. The protective layer exhibits an elasticity of from 0.5 GPa or more to 2.0 GPa or less.
