    Abstract: A flexure display is a display graph in which positions of a plurality of surface points and amounts of displacement are correlated. A slider provides a user interface for setting time. A time which is set through the slider is reflected on the flexure display or the like. The flexure display provides a graph showing an amount of displacement of each surface point at the time which is set through the slider. A load display shows a temporal change of an amount of load applied to the bone. A strain display shows a temporal change of an amount of strain of the bone. Time markers showing a predetermined time are displayed on the load display and strain display. The time markers are displayed according to the time which is set through the slider.

    Abstract: An oscillation arm moves in a seesaw fashion about an oscillation axis which is supported by a support rod and which serves as a fulcrum. A rotation arm and a pressurizer are provided on one end of the oscillation arm. One end of the rotation arm is rotatably attached to the oscillation arm, and a load weight is placed on the other end of the rotation arm. By rotating the rotation arm, the magnitude of a force to be applied by the load weight to the pressurizer is adjusted. More specifically, by displacing the load weight to a predetermined position by rotation and then causing the load weight to stop at this position, a static load corresponding to the rotation angle can be applied to the pressurizer. Further, by causing the load weight to perform rotational motion, the magnitude of the force to be applied to the pressurizer is periodically varied, so that a load which varies periodically can be applied to hard tissue.

    Abstract: An echo tracking processor unit detects a bone surface section based on an echo signal and tracks a position of the bone surface section. An interpolation line generator unit generates an interpolation line connecting tracking points which represent the tracked bone surface section. A translational displacement corrector unit removes a translational displacement component between an interpolation line corresponding to a time phase of a no-load state stored in a memory and an interpolation line corresponding to a time phase in a loaded state output from the interpolation line generator unit. A strain calculator unit calculates an amount of strain of bone for each time phase and outputs to a characteristic curve generator unit. The characteristic curve generator unit generates a characteristic curve related to the strain of bone based on a load value output from a load measurement device and the amount of strain of bone output from the strain calculator unit.

    Abstract: A DDS type variable frequency signal generator generates a jitter free and stable output signal regardless of the address interval. If the total number of addressable memory locations of a memory storing digital data is divisible without remainder by an initial address interval, then the memory is read every initial address interval with a clock signal of a predetermined frequency. If the total number of addressable memory locations is not divisible without remainder by the initial address interval, then the address interval is modified to a value that is divisible without remainder into the total number of addressable memory locations and the clock frequency is modified in accordance with this modification of the address interval. The memory is read every modified address interval with the modified clock signal.

    Abstract: An electronic device measurement apparatus measures a characteristic of an electronic device under test (DUT) by applying a sine-wave voltage to the DUT, detecting the voltage across the DUT as well as the current flowing through the DUT and displaying a characteristic curve in accordance with the detected voltage and current. The sine-wave voltage is generated in phase with an AC line voltage but the amplitude thereof is independent of the line voltage, and consequently the circuits in the measurement apparatus are not affected by variations in phase and amplitude in the line. Moreover, the generated sine-wave voltage is symmetrical, whereby display distortion is substantially eliminated. A voltage limiter and a current limiter are provided for limiting the voltage and current to be applied to the DUT to values determined by a display window, for protecting a current detecting resistor and a voltage divider connected to the DUT.

    Abstract: A temperature compensated amplifier network for a fiber optical receiver includes a photodiode having an optical input and a current output, and a cascadable transimpedance amplifier having N stages, each stage having a common base-emitter voltage. An emitter-follower transistor is coupled to the last stage of the transimpedance amplifier network and has a base-emitter voltage of the same magnitude but of opposite polarity from the base-emitter voltage of each of the amplifier stages. Any DC drift of the amplifier stages is therefore offset by a compensating drift in the opposite direction by the output emitter-follower.
