    Abstract: A rotary electric machine rotor comprises a rotary shaft which is formed with a plurality of protuberances projecting beyond a basic circle and extending in a lengthwise direction, and a core which is made of a plurality of core segments smaller in deformation resistance than that of the rotary shaft. The rotary shaft is plastically pressed into the core and has an annular groove formed at a position of the rotary shaft somewhat inward of an end face of the core. The core is plastically deformed and a part of the core is filled fully in the annular groove while axially pressing the core.

    Abstract: A rotor of a rotary machine, having a core member consisting of a plurality of hollow pieces, and a rotary shaft which is inserted and secured in a hollow portion of said core member, wherein annular grooves having ruggid bottom are formed in said rotary shaft at positions slightly inside the end surfaces of said core member, and portions of said core member are inserted in said grooves so that said rotary shaft and said core member are fastened together.
