  • Patent number: 8343427
Abstract: An inexpensive biosensor is provided that can realize an electrochemical analysis and perform measurement with high accuracy or convenience. The biosensor is an immunological sensor that enables measurement anywhere at anytime by anyone while keeping convenience. The biosensor includes: an electrode sensor unit 4 in which an electric conductive layer 2 is provided on an electrode-unit forming substrate 1 having an insulating property and an electrode portion 3 for detecting an electrochemical signal is formed on the electrode-unit forming substrate 1; and a chromatographic sensor unit 10 in which an extended layer 7 including a porous film for extending a specimen solution is provided on an extended-portion forming substrate 6, wherein the electrode sensor unit 4 and the chromatographic sensor unit 10 are stacked with the extended-portion forming substrate 6 interposed between the electrode sensor unit 4 and the chromatographic sensor unit 10.

  • Patent number: 8303910
Abstract: Provided is a biosensor with precision, high accuracy, and high sensitivity capable of increasing measurement accuracy while allowing measurements to be performed anywhere at any time by anyone, and allowing measurement with a small amount of specimen. In a biosensor including a specimen application portion (12) and a development flow channel (2), the specimen application portion (12) is configured such that an application space (9) is enclosed by a space-forming member (8) made of a liquid impermeable material, and a reaction reagent (14) that contains a labeling-reagent is retained in a position facing the application space (9) of the space-forming member (8) in the specimen application portion (12) so that the reaction reagent can be dissolved into a liquid specimen applied to the application space (9).

  • Publication number: 20110045578
Abstract: Provided are a biosensor and a method of manufacturing the same which can reduce an amount of liquid specimen required for measurement (a required amount of the liquid specimen), and conduct measurement with higher accuracy. In the biosensor, the liquid specimen is developed on a development layer by using chromatography and a test substance in the liquid specimen is measured. By reducing the thickness of the development layer (to 20 ?m to 135 ?m), the required amount of the liquid specimen is reduced. The thickness of the development layer is controlled to a smaller thickness thus, so that the required amount of the liquid specimen can be reduced in response to the measurement of a test substance in each liquid specimen in a state in which the accuracy of analysis is properly kept.
