Abstract: A text information processing apparatus includes a retrieval part, a degree-of-similarity calculation part and a determination part. The retrieval part obtains a retrieval result set which includes one or plural pieces of item information and corresponds to a retrieval key extracted from text data, from item database. The degree-of-similarity calculation part calculates a score of the retrieval result set, based on one or more pieces of degree of similarity each between different pieces of item information in the plural pieces of item information. The determination part identifies item information corresponding to the text data from among the plural pieces of item information, based on the score.
