  • Publication number: 20130250312
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes: a total amount control unit that applies a total amount controlling process to perform correction such that a sum of density values of all pixels composing the color plane data and clear plane data becomes not larger than a certain value; a clear toner plane generating unit that generates clear toner plane data based on gloss control plane data, the clear plane data and the color plane data; a difference calculating unit that calculates a difference between the density value of a pixel of the clear toner plane data and the density value of the pixel of the clear toner plane data to which the total amount controlling process is applied, for each pixel; and a display unit that displays an inconsistent region composed of a pixel in which the difference is not smaller than a predetermined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20130063785
Abstract: A display processing apparatus includes a receiving unit configured to receive display information indicating whether gloss-control plane image data is displayed and whether clear plane image data is displayed. The gloss-control plane image data specifies a type of a surface effect applied to a recording medium and a glossy area to which the surface effect is to be applied, and indicates a color of the glossy area when being displayed. The clear plane image data specifies a transparent image formed on the recording medium and indicates a color of the transparent image when being displayed. The apparatus also includes a generating unit configured to synthesize color plane image data indicating a color image and one of the gloss-control plane image data and the clear plane image data that is specified to be displayed thus to generate a synthetic image.

  • Publication number: 20130063741
Abstract: A display processing apparatus includes a first correcting unit that, based on original data containing first-type color image data that indicates a color image in each drawing area and containing first-type gloss control image data that indicates a type of gloss effect to be given to a recording medium and indicates a gloss area to which the gloss effect is to be given in each drawing area, corrects color saturation of an area in the first-type color image data that corresponds to the gloss area specified by the first-type gloss control image data depending on the type of gloss effect, to thereby generate first-type corrected image data; and a display control unit that, on a display unit, displays the first-type corrected image data as a print preview of a projected printing result of the original data.

  • Patent number: 8289543
Abstract: A scanner unit reads a code image from a recording medium. A detecting unit detects a medium identification from the code image. An identification obtaining unit obtains image identifications of all images included in a print unit that is identified by a unit identification and a print condition corresponding to the medium identification, from an identification storing unit. An image obtaining unit obtains all images corresponding to the image identification from an image storing unit. A printing unit prints the image obtained by the image obtaining unit under the print condition obtained by the identification obtaining unit.

  • Publication number: 20110013214
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a file management unit that manages files for image output, a file registration unit that registers the files, an output-configuration-information management unit that manages output configuration information, an output-configuration-information registration unit that registers the output configuration information, a data creation unit that creates the data in accordance with the output configuration information, and an output determination unit. When the file registration unit registers each of the files to the file management unit, the output determination unit determines whether the combined image can be outputted in accordance with certain output conditions. The output-configuration-information management unit registers predetermined output configuration information for the combined image and adds an output condition of the file that can be outputted to the output configuration information of the combined image.

  • Patent number: 7382938
Abstract: In an image processing apparatus, a limit check procedure compares a capacity necessary for storing designated image files to be transferred and the residual memory capacity of a destination to which the image files should be transferred. The procedure determines whether or not the transfer of the image files is allowable on the basis of the result of comparison. This procedure is executed before and during the transfer of image files. The procedure executed before transfer obviates transfer failure when the image files are transferred to an external storage implemented by a CD-R or similar write limiting type of storing medium; in this case, the procedure is not necessary during transfer. In the event of transfer to a work memory built in the apparatus, even if transfer is allowed before transfer, the procedure is executed during transfer in order to produce an alarm when transfer becomes unallowable.

  • Patent number: 7181150
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an administrative device that stores and administrates authorization information in connection with an image formation job. The authorization information is used to determine if an operator is permitted to apply a prescribed operation to a reserved job. An authorization device requests an operator to input identification information while temporarily stopping execution of a previously reserved job. The authorization device performs authorization based upon the identification information when application of the prescribed operation is requested, and forwards the authorization. A control device validates the prescribed operation when the authorization device forwards the authorization.

  • Patent number: 6832010
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a hard disk drive, an external image storing device for writing image data in a removable storing medium, and a memory for storing list data representative of a list of the image data stored in the hard disk drive or the storing medium. A main controller urges the operator of the apparatus to select, among the image data stored in the hard disk, desired image data to be written to the storing medium via an operation panel. When the image data selected are sequentially written to the storing medium, the main controller updates the list data of the memory every time one image data is written to the storing medium. After all the image data selected have been written to the storing medium, the controller updates the list data of the memory and causes the updated list data to be written to the storing medium.
