    Abstract: A head-protecting airbag device includes a case which houses an airbag in a folded-up configuration and a mounting bracket which is used to mount an inflator on a vehicle body structure. The case is mounted on a region of the airbag extending from one end of the inflator. The mounting bracket includes an insert region which fits in an assembling opening of the case. The assembling opening includes a receiving region which receives the insert region along an axial direction of the inflator and a limiting plane that is located in a periphery of the receiving region and holds the insert region from rotating in both directions in a circumferential direction of the inflator. The fitting of the insert region and assembling opening suppresses the airbag stored in the case in the folded-up configuration from rotating in a circumferential direction.

    Abstract: An air bag includes an air bag main body and a guide member. The air bag main body includes an expansion portion that expands with expansion gas flowing from an inflator and a tubular connecting port, which is connected to the inflator by inserting a side of a gas outlet port of the inflator thereinto, to cause the expansion gas to flow into the expansion portion, and is formed of a sheet material with flexibility so as to be able to be folded. The guide member has a shape holding property of maintaining an opening state of the connecting port so as to be able to be attached to the connecting port of the air bag main body and guide the insertion of the inflator into the side of the gas outlet port.

    Abstract: An airbag of an airbag device includes a connection port to be joined with an inflator and a flexible reinforcing sheet disposed inside the connection port. The reinforcing sheet includes a first cover region and a second cover region each of which wraps the leading end of the inflator and has an opening for providing gas communication with a main body of the airbag. The first cover region has a double-folded configuration that is doubled on a crease which crosses an axial direction of the inflator while the second cover region has a double-folded configuration that is doubled on a crease extending in parallel to the axial direction of the inflator. The first cover region and second cover region are arranged in such an overlapped fashion that the crease of the first cover region continues to the crease of the second cover region.

The inclining inflatable portion is disposed between an upper guide portion that extends continuously from a portion that partitions an upper edge region of the gas supply passage, and a lower guide portion that extends from a portion that partitions a lower edge region of the gas supply passage. The inclining inflatable portion and the horizontal inflatable portion respectively include an inclining peak portion and a horizontal peak portion formed by ridgelines that swell thickly. The respective width dimensions of the inclining inflatable portion and the horizontal inflatable portion in a flat state are larger than the vertical width dimension of the gas supply passage that is flatly deployed.
