  • Publication number: 20220134876
Abstract: A vehicle driving system to be provided in a vehicle includes a touch sensor and a control unit. The touch sensor is to be provided in the steering operation device and configured to measure a fluctuation in electrostatic capacitance. The control unit determines, based on information from the touch sensor, whether a driver of the vehicle is in a steering-holding state or in a non-steering-holding state. After a detection of a first fluctuation that is a fluctuation in the electrostatic capacitance occurring before a malfunction of the touch sensor, the control unit determines that the driver is in the non-steering-holding state even if the information from the touch sensor to the control unit indicates that the driver is in the steering-holding state.

  • Patent number: 9445727
Abstract: An apparatus for evaluating a vascular endothelial function, includes: a cuff pressure controlling unit configured to perform continuous pressure stimulation on a part of a body of a subject for a predetermined time, by using a cuff adapted to be wrapped around the part of the body of the subject; a cuff pressure detecting unit configured to detect a cuff pressure from an output of a pressure sensor connected to the cuff; a pulse wave detecting unit configured to detect a pulse wave from the output of the pressure sensor; and an analyzing unit configured to evaluate the vascular endothelial function by comparing vessel viscoelastic indexes which are obtained from the pulse wave detected in two of zones before, during, and after the pressure stimulation, and which exclude an amplitude of the pulse wave.

  • Patent number: 8398726
Abstract: A method including the steps of assembling a battery pack core; holding the core in a mold that forms a molded resin region; closing a cavity of the mold; injecting synthetic resin into the closed cavity; and ejecting the battery pack from the cavity to configure the battery pack with the battery pack core insert-molded in the molded resin region. A projection that protrudes towards an inner surface of the mold cavity is provided on the surface of the insulating cover fixed on the battery. In the resin injection step, the projection on the insulating cover is pressed directly or indirectly by the mold in a direction to put the insulating cover tightly in contact with the surface of the battery; and synthetic resin is injected into the cavity of the mold in this pressed configuration.

  • Publication number: 20080152994
Abstract: In a battery pack, a battery core pack having a connector is inserted into a resin molded portion which is formed of a plastic material. The battery core pack includes a rechargeable unit cell, a circuit board electrically connected to the unit cell, and a connector fixed to the circuit board. The connector incorporates a contact point in a connector casing which is formed of an insulation material, and the connector casing is inserted into the resin molded portion so as to partially appear to a surface of the resin molded portion. Further, the battery pack is provided with a sealing groove at a boundary between the connector casing and the resin molded portion, along a peripheral edge of an exposed portion of the connector, appearing outside the resin molded portion.

  • Patent number: 6492058
Abstract: The battery pack houses a protection circuit along with a rechargeable cell in a case. The protection circuit is provided with switching devices to control current flow in the rechargeable cell, and a control circuit to control the switching devices. The protection circuit is molded in a single package with insulating material to make a one-package unit. The one-package unit is retained in a holding space in an insulating holder. The one-package unit, insulating holder, and rechargeable cell are held in the case.
