  • Publication number: 20170139344
Abstract: The present invention performs inplane uneven density correction that suppresses a number of tone correction properties and has few correction residuals. Accordingly, a correction unit corrects pixel data D based on a plurality of tone correction properties respectively corresponding to a plurality of spot diameters of a light to expose on a surface of a photoreceptor, and to generate a plurality of pieces of correction data D1 and D2. A setting unit sets a ratio Rb based on a spot diameter on the photoreceptor of a pixel corresponding to the pixel data D. A blending unit generates tone correction data Dc by blending the plurality of pieces of correction data D1 and D2 based on the ratio Rb.

  • Publication number: 20170111547
Abstract: An image forming apparatus of the present invention acquires first correction characteristics representing an output density for an input gradation value at a reference position in a main scanning direction and second correction characteristics representing a relative relationship of an output density at a predetermined position in the main scanning direction with the output density at the reference position in the main scanning direction. Then, the image forming apparatus corrects image data corresponding to the predetermined position in the main scanning direction based on the first correction characteristics and the second correction characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20170072535
Abstract: A grinder includes a motor, a housing, a spindle and a cover. The spindle protrudes downward from the housing, is driven by the motor, and thereby rotates. The cover at least partially covers a tool accessory mounted on the spindle. The cover includes a first cover part and a second cover part. The first cover part is fixed to the housing and at least partially covers the tool accessory from above. The second cover part is held such that it is capable of moving relative to the first cover part. The grinder is configured such that the area of the tool accessory covered by the cover changes in accordance with the relative movement.

  • Publication number: 20170072532
Abstract: A grinder includes a motor, a housing, a spindle and a cover. The spindle protrudes downward from the housing, is driven by the motor, and thereby rotates. The cover is provided on the spindle in the circumferential direction and at least partially covers a tool accessory, which is mounted on the spindle. The cover is configured such that at least one part deforms and/or is composed of an elastic material.

  • Publication number: 20160209773
Abstract: An image processing apparatus that generates a halftone image to be used in a case where an image is formed on a printing medium by exposing a photoreceptor by intensity modulation of a light beam, having a multivalued dither processing unit configured to generate N-nary (N?3) image from an input image by a dither method, a determination unit configured to determine whether a difference in pixel value between pixels adjacent to each other in an exposure scanning direction exceeds a predetermined limit value for each pixel of the N-nary image generated by the multivalued dither processing unit, and a correction unit configured to correct the pixel values of the adjacent pixels whose difference in pixel value has been determined to exceed the predetermined limit value so that the difference does not exceed the limit value.

  • Patent number: 9296225
Abstract: Conventionally, it has not been possible to perform detailed printing control in accordance with a purpose, such as the improvement in density and the improvement in rubfastness, by taking into consideration a slight difference in the kind of paper (slight difference in the receptive layer), such as matte paper and glossy paper. An information processing apparatus for determining a printing medium having a receptive layer has a transmitted light information acquisition unit configured to acquire information on transmitted light by irradiating a printing medium on which a determination image is printed with light, and a surface characteristics determination unit configured to determine the surface characteristics of the printing medium on which the determination image is printed based on the information on transmitted light.

  • Publication number: 20140301745
Abstract: There is provided an image forming apparatus for forming an image using coloring materials of a plurality of colors. The image forming apparatus includes a regular reflection light measuring unit configured to measure regular reflection light of an image formed by a coloring material of a color with which a difference in diffused reflection light between a non-image part and an image part on a recording medium is relatively small compared to a difference in specular reflection light of the coloring materials of the plurality of colors at an angle by which a quantity of received light to be measured by a light receiving unit becomes stable in a case where distance between the light receiving unit and a measurement surface varies and a glossiness determining unit configured to determine glossiness based on the intensity of regular reflection light measured by the regular reflection light measuring unit.
