  • Publication number: 20240399773
Abstract: A printing apparatus, a control method for the printing apparatus, and a storage medium that can eliminate an overlapping state and suppress deterioration of alignment performance for discharged sheets are to be provided. Therefore, the appropriate distance at the completion of separating is set, and, in the separating operation, based on the distance, the overlapping state of the printing medium and the printing medium is eliminated by adjusting the conveyance speed of the downstream roller conveying the preceding printing medium and the conveyance speed of the upstream roller conveying the following printing media. Thereafter, the conveyance speed of the downstream roller is decelerated.

  • Publication number: 20240375906
Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a printing unit, first and second conveyance units conveying a print medium, and a control unit performing reduction control to reduce an overlap amount between a preceding print medium and a succeeding print medium by using a speed difference. In a first case in which a trailing end of the preceding print medium and a leading end of the succeeding print medium are positioned in an interval between the first and second conveyance units, a conveying speed of the preceding print medium is set to a first speed. In a second case which is different from the first case and in which the trailing end and the leading end are positioned in the interval between the first and second conveyance units, the conveying speed of the preceding print medium is set to a second speed different from the first speed.

  • Publication number: 20240351356
Abstract: A printing apparatus, comprising a printing unit, a first conveying unit, a second conveying unit at downstream side in a conveying direction of the first conveying unit, and a control unit for executing a first control such that a leading end portion of a second print medium succeeding a first print medium overlaps a trailing end portion of the first print medium and a second control such that the first and second print mediums are separated, wherein, in the second control, conveyance of the second print medium is suppressed while the printing unit is located in a region other than the to-be-printed region.

  • Publication number: 20240158192
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a feed roller, a conveyance roller, a recording unit, a reverse path, and a control unit. The conveyance roller conveys a sheet fed by the feed roller. The recording unit performs recording on the conveyed sheet. The reverse path reverses, in the reverse path, a traveling direction of the sheet on which the recording is performed. The control unit performs control so that a leading edge of a second sheet overlaps a first sheet on which recording is being performed by the recording unit. Recording on the second sheet is to be performed by the recording unit following the recording on the first sheet. The control unit performs control to reverse the traveling direction of the first sheet and the traveling direction of the second sheet in the reverse path while maintaining an overlapping state of the first sheet and the second sheet.

  • Publication number: 20230312301
Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a printing unit, a first conveyance unit configured to convey a print medium in a conveyance direction, a second conveyance unit configured to convey a print medium printed by the printing unit, on a downstream side in the conveyance direction of the first conveyance unit, and a control unit configured to perform reduction control of reducing an overlap amount of a preceding print medium and a succeeding print medium, from an overlap state in which the succeeding print medium overlaps a trailing edge of the preceding print medium. The reduction control includes control of conveying the preceding print medium conveyed by the second conveyance unit faster than the succeeding print medium conveyed by the first conveyance unit, in a state in which the first conveyance unit is capable of conveying the succeeding print medium.

  • Publication number: 20230311543
Abstract: A printing apparatus comprises a supply unit configured to supply a print medium, a first roller configured to transport the print medium, a printing unit configured to print onto the print medium, and a control unit capable of controlling the supply unit and the first roller to create a state of overlap in which a leading end part of a following print medium overlaps a following end part of a preceding print medium on an upstream side of the first roller in the transport direction of the print medium. The control unit adjusts an overlap amount in the state of overlap on the upstream side of the first roller in the transport direction of the print medium based on print data for the preceding print medium and print data for the following print medium.

  • Publication number: 20050180334
Abstract: A monitoring path changing method is disclosed that changes monitoring paths by sending and receiving monitoring path control information in a system having a monitoring control terminal to control and monitor plural transmission devices with use of the monitoring paths. Each of the monitoring paths corresponds to an area within a transmission channel data frame. The monitoring path control information controls the monitoring paths. The monitoring control terminal is connected to one of the transmission devices. The transmission devices are connected to each other via transmission channels so as to form a network.
