Abstract: A bagmaking and packaging apparatus includes a film conveyance mechanism, a former mechanism, a transverse sealing mechanism, and a first partition member. The film conveyance mechanism conveys a film. The former mechanism includes a product feed chute and a former. The product feed chute has a product fed to it. The former forms in a tubular shape the film conveyed by the film conveyance mechanism. The transverse sealing mechanism is disposed under the former mechanism. The transverse sealing mechanism transversely seals the tubular film to make bags containing the product fed from the product feed chute. The first partition member partitions a space around the former mechanism into a first space and a second space. The first space is on the product feed chute side. The second space is on the transverse sealing mechanism side.

  • Patent number: 11760522
Abstract: A bag-making and packaging machine includes sealing jaws, a horizontal moving device, a vertical moving device, and a control unit. The sealing jaws perform a transverse sealing operation. The vertical moving device moves the sealing jaws in a vertical direction. The vertical moving device includes a rotating shaft, a motor, and a link mechanism. The link mechanism transmits rotational force of the rotating shaft to the sealing jaws. The control unit performs first control or second control. The first control forwardly rotates and reversely rotates the rotating shaft during a period of time from a start of the transverse sealing operation to a start of a subsequent transverse sealing operation. The second control performs one of the transverse sealing operation and the subsequent transverse sealing operation with a forward rotation of the rotating shaft and the other with a reverse rotation of the rotating shaft.

  • Publication number: 20230002095
Abstract: A bag-making and packaging machine forms a sheet-like film into a tubular shape and transversely seals the film to manufacture bags containing articles. The bag-making and packaging machine includes a transverse sealing mechanism and a control unit. The transverse sealing mechanism pinches and transversely seals the tubular film that has been formed into a tubular shape to form a transverse seal portion. The control unit determines whether or not there is jamming in the transverse seal portion and, in a case where it has determined that there is jamming, switches between a first bag-making process to continue bag-making operation and a second bag-making process to stop bag-making operation based on a jamming state.

  • Patent number: 11046468
Abstract: A bag-making and packaging machine has a film supply unit that supplies film to a bag-making and packaging unit. The film supply unit has a film conveyance mechanism that conveys a first film so that a trailing end portion of the first film heads toward a film splicing position for splicing to a leading end portion of a second film, a first sensor detecting a mark on the first film, a second sensor detecting the mark at downstream, and a controller for the film conveyance mechanism. The controller judges, based on detection of the second sensor, that the trailing end portion of the first film has reached the splicing position and stops conveyance of the first film. The controller controls the conveyance mechanism so that the conveyance speed of the first film before the detection of the mark by the first sensor is faster than the speed after the detection.

  • Patent number: 10266288
Abstract: Certain implementations provide a form-fill-seal machine that can efficiently seal a packaging material. The transverse sealing unit may have first members to sandwich the packaging material and sealing the packaging material in a transverse direction, and second members for squeezing the packaging material while sandwiching the packaging material with a prescribed gap left therebetween. The control unit may cause the packaging material to be squeezed by the second members by causing the transverse sealing unit located at a reference position to descend faster than the packaging material being conveyed downward. The control unit may cause the transverse sealing unit to ascend while the packaging material is being sealed by the first members. The control unit may cause the transverse sealing unit to move such that the first members are separated from the packaging material.
