    Abstract: A CPU changes a turning angle corresponding to a steering angle required for a steering device to steer a host vehicle, depending on the amount of operation for moving a steering wheel at a reference position in a tilt direction and a push-pull direction. A tilt reaction force device and a push-pull reaction force device generate a reaction force against a second operation amount for moving the steering wheel from the reference position according to the reference position of the steering wheel relative to the driver which is adjusted by a tilt/expansion mechanism. In this way, even when the reference position of the steering wheel is changed, it is possible to give an appropriate reaction force to the driver since a reaction force against, for example, an operation of pushing or pulling the steering wheel is generated according to the reference position of the steering wheel relative to the driver.

    Abstract: An ultrasound diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment includes a decomposing unit, a diffusion filter unit, an adjusting unit, and a reconstructing unit. The decomposing unit decomposes ultrasound image data into low-frequency and high-frequency decomposed image data at each of a predetermined number of levels, by a multi-resolution analysis. The diffusion filter unit applies a diffusion filter to the low-frequency and high-frequency decomposed image data at the lowest level and applies, at each of the levels other than the lowest, a diffusion filter to data output from the level immediately underneath and to the high-frequency decomposed image data, and also generates edge information for each of the levels. The adjusting unit adjusts a signal level of the high-frequency decomposed image data for each of the levels, based on the edge information. The reconstructing unit obtains corrected data of the ultrasound image data by performing a multi-resolution synthesis.

If the left and right grips are operated by a small steering angle, the movement direction of the left and right grips is changed to the direction around the input shaft through the movement direction changing mechanism. Thereafter, the sorting filter of the image processing section sorts the elements of each row of the input matrix on a column by column basis. Then, it extracts a partial matrix having the row including the reference position and surrounding rows from the matrix obtained as a result of the sorting and having a number of rows smaller than number of rows of the input matrix and a number of columns same as the number of columns of the input matrix. Furthermore, it computationally determines the median of the elements of the partial matrix and outputs the median as the output value.
