    Abstract: A connection structure is provided for a pair of superconducting cables each including a cable core including a former and a superconductive conductor layer composed of a plurality of superconducting wires arranged along an outer circumference of the former. The superconducting wire has a laminated structure including a base plate and a superconducting layer formed on a side closer to one of principal surfaces of the base plate. One of the superconducting cables and another of the superconducting cables are connected with each other by a first superconducting wire and a second superconducting wire such that the superconducting layers of the first superconducting wire and the second superconducting wire face each other.
