  • Patent number: 6933651
Abstract: In the present invention, by selecting an optimum combination of plating layer materials or materials, not only the manufacturing cost of motor brush is reduced but also a plating layer having excellent characteristics is formed in a narrow width on the surface of brush base material so as to have a predetermined thickness. The present invention is formed by a brush sliding portion that slides on a motor commutator and a plate-shaped brush base material that is slender as a whole and supports the brush sliding portion. This brush sliding portion is formed by Pd plating portion formed over a predetermined length on a part in the lengthwise direction of the brush base material that supports the brush sliding portion. This Pd plating is applied on the brush base material via backing Ni plating.

  • Patent number: 5382852
Abstract: A miniature motor includes a case made of metallic material and formed into a bottomed hollow cylindrical shape and having a permanent magnet fixedly fitted to the inner circumferential surface thereof. A rotor is provided with an armature and a commutator. A case cap is fitted to an open end of the case and has brushes making sliding contact with the commutator. Input terminals are electrically connected to the brushes directly or via other electrically conductive material. The rotor is rotatably supported by bearings provided on the case bottom and the case cap. Through holes formed into a T shape in cross-sectional profile are provided on the case cap made of a resin material. The input terminals each having a stopper on the lower end thereof and a lanced and raised piece on the central part thereof are passed in the through holes, the lanced and raised pieces are bent to almost right angles with the input terminal surface to fixedly fit the input terminals to the case cap.

  • Patent number: 5218254
Abstract: A terminal device for miniature motors includes a stator having a field-forming permanent magnet in the inner circumferential surface of a motor case, a rotor having rotor windings wound on a rotor core, and terminals on a case lid made of a synthetic resin. A power-feeding terminal has terminal insertion holes into which insertion-type power-feeding terminals are inserted, and projections are provided which resiliently engage against the terminals and push the terminals. The power-feeding terminals resiliently engage the terminals at locations where the terminals engage against the projections when the power-feeding terminals are inserted along the projections into the terminal insertion holes of the power-feeding terminal.
