  • Patent number: 9614379
Abstract: An adapter includes a signal generation unit. By connection between the adapter and a plug of a charging cable used when performing external charging with electric power from an external power supply, the signal generation unit supplies a signal instructing power feeding to a vehicle. In response to the signal instructing power feeding, the vehicle drives a power conversion device, thereby supplying electric power from the vehicle to an external electrical device through the charging cable.

  • Patent number: 9090169
Abstract: An adapter includes a signal generation unit and a leakage generation circuit. The signal generation unit provides a signal instructing power feeding to a vehicle when the adapter is connected to a plug of a charging cable used for external charging with electric power from an external power supply. When the plug and the adapter are not completely fitted to each other, the leakage generation circuit electrically connects the power transmission path to a ground to cause a leakage state. In the vehicle, in response to a signal instructing power feeding, a power conversion device is driven to supply electric power from the vehicle to an external electrical device through the charging cable. Then, when the leakage state is caused by the leakage generation circuit, power feeding to the electrical device is stopped.

  • Publication number: 20140343776
Abstract: A power supply system for a vehicle includes: first and second power lines connected to a PCU; first and second power storage devices each configured to be rechargeable; a capacitor connected between the first power line and the second power line; a switching unit configured to be able to switch between a first state in which one of the first and second power storage devices is connected between the first power line and the second power line, and a second state in which the first and second power storage devices are connected in series between the first power line and the second power line; and a control device for setting the switching unit in the first state to charge the capacitor, and thereafter setting the switching unit in the second state to charge the capacitor.

  • Publication number: 20100121507
Abstract: A control device has a coupling determination sensor for detecting external connection of a charge table. When the connection of the charge cable is detected according to a signal from the sensor, the control device activates an electric device connected to a communication line of a charge-time-dedicated power supply system. Since the control device of the invention can activate only the electric device related to the charging while keeping electric devices not related to the charging at rest, and therefore prevents wasteful electric power consumption.
