Abstract: A disconnecting switch includes a contact part that includes a stationary contact and a movable contact, a shaft that moves the movable contact relative to the stationary contact, an open/close mechanism part that moves the shaft back and forth freely between a closed contact position at which the movable contact contacts with the stationary contact and an open contact position at which the movable contact is separated from the stationary contact, and a housing that houses at least the contact part and the shaft. The open/close mechanism part includes an operation lever, an arm that rotates according to an operation of the operation lever to move the shaft between the open contact position and the closed contact position, and a wheel rotatably attached to the housing. The arm has a rotation slot in which the wheel is placed so that the wheel moves when the arm rotates.
