  • Patent number: 8113867
Abstract: A cable connection guiding method includes the steps of extracting conductor identification information being used to identify a conductor from a RFID tag connected to the conductor of a cable, and indicating a terminal indicating device associated with an obtained terminal, according to terminal identification information.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 1, 2010
Date of Patent: February 14, 2012
    Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.

  • Patent number: 8111163
Abstract: Disclosed is a cable identifying system for accurately discriminating one cable from another on site over a long period of time, the system enabling a cable layer or a cable user, when laying out an RFID built-in cable, to do without manually writing any information in the RFID tags built in the cable. One cable having RFID tags built therein can be accurately realized. The individual ID's of the RFID tags are read and stored in a storage apparatus. When a part of the cable is cut, the ID's of the RFID tags nearest to the both end of the cable are read out, and the ID-related data of the RFID tags in the cut-out cable are recorded on a desired medium or electronic information medium.

  • Publication number: 20100224328
Abstract: An RFID built-in cable manufacturing device including: an RFID applicator for sticking an RFID tag onto a composite strand; a sheath molder for providing sheath for the composite strand on which the RFID tag has been stuck at the RFID applicator with resulting an RFID built-in cable; an RFID reader for sequentially reading ID of the RFID tag as the RFID built-in cable is fed to a cable take-up drum; and a server for storing data having been read out by the RFID reader.

  • Patent number: 7568936
Abstract: A cable connection guiding method, comprising: extracting first conductor identification information being used to identify first conductor 5 from a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag 4 connected to the first conductor 5 of a cable 3; comparing the first conductor information with a conductor-terminal connection information database, which relates the first conductor identification information for identifying the first conductor 5 to a terminal identification information for identifying a terminal to connect the first conductor 5 and obtaining first terminal identification information for identifying first terminal 2 to be connected to the first conductor 5; and indicating a terminal indicating device 25 associated with the first terminal, according to the first terminal identification information.
