  • Patent number: 7134191
Abstract: A press-fitting device in which a terminal of a connector having a staggered arrangement section of the terminal of the connector is press-fitted into an insertion hole is provided. In the press-fitting device, a first terminal restricting member on which a guide section for restricting a vertical displacement of the terminals between the terminals along the lateral direction of the connector housing and a second terminal restricting member on which a guide section for restricting the lateral displacement of the terminals between the terminals along the vertical direction of the connector housing in an upper or lower part of the first terminal restricting member are provided. A guide groove to which terminals on an interior side of the connector housing are introduced is provided at a tip end portion of the guide portion positioned at the staggered arrangement section of the terminals.

  • Patent number: 7104811
Abstract: A bent connector terminal with improved stability when held within a groove (23) of a comb-shaped, press-fit jig (20,22), the terminal aligned with a hole (32) of a printed circuit board (30) and to be press-fitted into the hole. In one embodiment, at least one widened portion (12e) is formed on the connector terminal between a tip flange part (12b) and a swelled or widened part (12c), the widening of the part (12c) caused by bending of the connector terminal. The widened portion (12e) and the swelled part (12c) serve to stabilize the connector terminal within the groove (23) of the press-fit jig as the jig is used to press on the tip flange part (12b). In another embodiment, the connector terminal includes notches (12d) at the location where the connector terminal is to be bent, to compensate for widening caused by the bending step so that no swelled or broadened area is produced at this region.

  • Publication number: 20050014424
Abstract: A connector terminal material which extends in one direction and of which an intermediate specified part is bent is molded. The above-described specified part of the connector terminal material has notched parts formed at both sides in the terminal width direction and is made narrow thereat, and a flange part 12b is formed at this side of the tip end part. A connector terminal is produced by bending the specified part of the connector terminal material. While the connector terminal is being guided by a connector fixture which is narrower than the above-described flange part and has a wider deep groove than the other parts, the flange part is pressed by the press-fit surface of the end edge part of open end of the deep groove 23, whereby the tip end of the above-described connector terminal is press-fitted into the penetrating hole of the printed circuit board. Through the above-described processes, it is possible to produce a substrate with a connector.

  • Patent number: 6170152
Abstract: Cylinders are arranged in such a manner that they correspond to a plurality of pressure-blades by one-to-one, and desired pressure-blades are pushed downward by the corresponding cylinder rods, so that the desired pressure-blades are protruded from and fixed at the lower ends of the residual pressure-blades. The thus arranged pressure-blades are lowered with respect to the connector. Then, only the pressure-blades protruding from the lower ends of the other pressure-blades can conduct the operation of pressure-connection. Due to the foregoing, after the electrical wires F have been connected to the pressure-terminals of one connector all at once, in the pressure-connecting process of the other connector, only when the desired pressure-blades are selected and the selected pressure-blades are moved along the arrangement of the pressure terminals of the other connector, the wire harness of cross-wiring can be manufactured.

  • Patent number: 5878489
Abstract: An inexpensive flat electric wire for a wire harness and an inexpensive wire harness utilizing the flat electric wire can be produced. A flat electric wire (P) is produced by juxtaposing a plurality of insulator-sheathed electric wire elements (a), each having a single core, on a plane; and by applying a reinforcing tape (51) on the juxtaposed wire elements (a) at a desired position over the width of the elements (a), whereby the wire elements (a) are secured together to each other by the tape (51) to form the flat electric wire (P) for a wire harness.
