    Abstract: Provided is a connector module that is highly durable and that also allows easy position alignment with a connection target instrument while maintaining high shielding performance. The connector module includes a connector case and a connector inserted in the connector case. The connector includes a contact, a holder, a conductive tubular shell, a housing and a conductive shield case. The shield case includes a first member having an elastic portion and a second member in the form of a bottomed tube. The first member forms an elastic piece contactable with the second member. Fixing of the connector case to a main body case via a fastener member causes, in the connector, elastic deformation of the elastic piece, resulting in decrease in a gap between the first member and the second member, consequently in establishment of electrical connection between the first member and the second member.

The signal and ground conductors at the base extend in parallel with and in spaced relation to each other. The contacts of the first and second types each has a base portion attachable to a back portion of the board insertion port of the housing, and an arm portion having a substantially U-shaped side view, being supported in midair by the base portion and being adapted to support an end portion of the flexible substrate.

    Abstract: An actuator is rotatably combined with a body configured so that the end of the flexible substrate is inserted from the front surface side. The body holds a plurality of contacts arranged in paralleland contacting the terminals on the end of the inserted substrate. The actuator includes a plurality of cams corresponding to the plurality of contacts within the body, and presses the end of the inserted substrate with the plurality of cams when turned from the opened state to the closed state. Each of the contacts includes a contacting point part for pressure contacting the terminal on the end of the substrate and a hook of hook shape for engaging and holding the shaft formed in the actuator, and also includes a cover for covering the rear surface side of the body when turned to the closed state.
