  • Publication number: 20200407768
Abstract: It is an object of an aspect of the present invention to provide (i) transformants, whose proliferation depends on phosphite, of various species of organism and (ii) a method for detecting the presence of a reduced phosphorous compound with use of such a transformant. Use is made of a transformant which is defective in functions of a gene encoding a phosphate transporter protein and a gene encoding a phosphate ester transporter protein and into which a gene encoding a hypophosphite transporter protein is introduced, a signal peptide of a hypophosphite binding protein being substituted with a signal peptide derived from a host or a species of organism closely related to the host.

  • Patent number: 9499822
Abstract: A simple and inexpensive method for selectively culturing a microorganism which method makes it possible to selectively culture a microorganism of interest even without using a sterilization operation or an antibiotic substance is provided. The method according to the present invention selectively culturing a microorganism includes the step of culturing, in a culture medium containing phosphorous acid as a sole phosphorous source, a recombinant microorganism into which a phosphite dehydrogenase gene has been introduced.

  • Patent number: 4941565
Abstract: A dispersion feeder used in a combination weighing machine for distributively feeding product to be weighed out to a plurality of weighing units arranged around it. The feeder is characterized in that it includes a mechanism for effecting rotational movement of the center or apex of its dispersion table. This movement exerts a centrifugal force on product fed onto the table, including product in and near the center of the table, thereby ensuring that such product is removed from the table.

  • Patent number: 4766964
Abstract: An apparant density measuring device for a weighing machine comprising a bucket having a known loading volume. Product is fed to the bucket in an amount sufficient to cause overflow from the bucket, the bucket being vibrated for a specific time during this feeding operation. After completion of the feeding operation, the loaded bucket is weighed.

  • Patent number: 4721173
Abstract: An automatic weighing system for delivering quantities of product measured by weight, each quantity having a weight equal or approximate to a predetermined target weight, in such manner that the volume of each quantity falls always within a predetermined allowable range even when the product to be weighed has a substantial variance in its apparent density or specific gravity. The system includes means for measuring the apparent density and means for controlling the target weight in accordance with the measured value of apparent density.

  • Patent number: 3944650
Abstract: A process is described for the removal of oxides of sulfur, dust and mist from a combustion waste gas such as the waste gas evolved from a glass melting furnace in which the waste gas is contacted with an absorbing solution containing an alkaline absorbent such as NaOH, Na.sub.2 CO.sub.3 or Na.sub.2 SO.sub.3, whereby the oxides of sulfur are absorbed and the temperature of the waste gas is decreased and the humidity of the waste gas in increased. The treated waste gas is then passed through a glass fiber filter which is maintained under moist conditions in order to efficiently remove dust and mist particles from the waste gas. Crystalline sodium sulfate hydrate is recovered from the absorbing solution contacted with the waste gas.
