  • Patent number: 10994936
Abstract: A conveyor comprises an endless belt and a belt return device. The endless belt comprises an upper run and a lower run and is configured to convey conveying material in a conveying direction. An intermediate space is defined between the upper run and the lower run. The belt return device facilitates transitioning of the endless belt between the lower run and the upper run. The endless belt defines at least one passage opening which allows the exit of at least a portion of an intermediate space material which is formed by a portion of the conveying material which has reached the intermediate space. At least a portion of the endless belt comprises a conveyor track and a passage track. The passage track defines the at least one passage opening. The conveyor track and the passage track are arranged side by side in the conveying direction.

  • Patent number: 7254318
Abstract: Disclosed is a recording apparatus for recording a plurality of audio-visual contents stored in a HD to a writable DVD. A drive controller copies at least one of the contents stored in the HD to the DVD. If the available capacity of the DVD left after the copying falls short to copy a remaining content, the remaining content is re-encoded prior to being recorded in the DVD. The bit rate to be allocated to the remaining content upon re-encoding is calculated from the available capacity of the DVD and the reproduction time of the remaining content to be re-encoded.

  • Publication number: 20060291804
Abstract: When receiving a record presetting from the record presetting unit 8, the detection unit 10 compares the received record presetting with a record presetting that has been received earlier, to detect, if time periods indicated by the record presettings overlap, an overlapping time portion and one or more non-overlapping time portion. The detection unit 10 then newly generates record presettings in one-to-one correspondence with the overlapping and non-overlapping time portions. The recording unit 11 performs a recording operation with reference to the record presettings newly generated by the detection unit 10. Thus, the recording unit 11 can perform a recording operation as described by the original record presettings, which indicate the time periods that overlap. The generation unit 12 generates, on a storage medium, Cell information for each of the original record presettings, and appends user information to the Cell information.

  • Publication number: 20050246641
Abstract: Provided is a recording apparatus that prompts a user to judge whether non-referenced part in a DVD should be deleted or not, thereby facilitating cleanup of recorded contents in the DVD. A playlist editing unit (15) obtains a PL by performing a playlist editing, where the playlist is a logical playback path defined on a VOB recorded in the DVD and contains at least one playback section defined by the user. After the playlist editing is performed, a non-referenced part extraction unit (17) displays to the user a plurality of remaining parts resulting after subtracting from the entire VOB the playback section specified by PL information, as a plurality of non-referenced parts in a moving image stream. A substantial editing unit (18) deletes any of the displayed non-referenced parts, according to a user operation.

  • Patent number: 6879408
Abstract: A printer and a printer driver automatically execute setting processing relevant to information unique to each printer without a user's intervention. Printer language specifications indicating a correspondence between plot objects and printer languages are stored. Printer language specifications setting data predetermined for the printer language specifications are generated. Control language specifications indicating a correspondence between control elements and control languages are stored. Control language specifications setting data predetermined for the control language specifications are generated. According to a trigger instructing a host PC to start transmission, the generated language specifications setting data to a bi-directional communication part are transmitted. The bi-directional communication part transmits the received language specifications setting data through a transmission path to the host PC.

  • Publication number: 20040252982
Abstract: A recording apparatus, allowing a user to view video data while dubbing of other video data, which requires the actual time of the video data, is executed. The recording apparatus comprises a view buffer, and an encode buffer. A MPEG2 decoder decodes a VOBU for dubbing and a VOBU for viewing in parallel by time-sharing, writes the decoded VOBU for dubbing into the encode buffer, and writes the decoded VOBU for viewing into the view buffer. A MPEG2 encoder encodes the decoded VOBU for dubbing stored in the encode buffer. The MPEG2 decoder performs the decoding and the writing at a higher processing rate than a display rate for reproduction. A display control unit reads and reproduces, at the display rate, the decoded VOBU for viewing which is written into the view buffer at the higher processing rate.

  • Publication number: 20030123853
Abstract: A GUI generating unit displays a GUI screen listing a plurality of sets of video content. A playback controlling unit performs a playback operation on a set of video content which is selected by a user on the GUI screen, and keeps a history of a playback start position and a playback stop position. A GUI updating unit updates the GUI screen and displays it, after the playback operation by the playback controlling unit. To update the GUI screen, a thumbnail generating unit chooses a plurality of pieces of picture data from between the playback start position and the playback stop position in the set of video content, and places thumbnails of these pieces of picture data on the GUI screen.

  • Publication number: 20030023987
Abstract: Because of limitations of a display area allocated on a mobile telephone or a remote controller, even if a program table is displayed according to the EPG information, the browsability of programs is mostly insufficient, and it is likely for a user to miss the program. In a case where a user updates recording reservation information of a program reserved for recording by using a mobile telephone of the present invention, the mobile telephone acquires the recording reservation information and information of broadcasting schedule, and displays point of difference between the recording reservation information and the information of the broadcasting schedule. Consequently, the user can easily and surely find the change of the broadcasting schedule, and match contents of update with the change.

  • Patent number: 6511597
Abstract: A chip discharge conveyor system includes a partition plate disposed below a discharge run of a circulating endless hinged belt in confronted relation to the discharge belt run along the length thereof. Outer cleats are attached to an outer circumferential surface of the hinged belt, and inner cleats are attached to an inner circumferential surface of the hinged belt. At a conveyor tail end where the hinged belt makes an upward turn, small chips, which have been caught on a return run of the hinged belt, are transferred to the partition plate while they are held by and between a cylindrical member and the hinged belt. The small chips are subsequently conveyed along the partition plate and finally discharged outside a used coolant treatment tank.

  • Patent number: 5989488
Abstract: A blast tuyere of a blast furnace making it possible that the temperature of Cu of the outer surface of the tuyere is not overheated to its melting point or higher so as to prevent tuyere failure and endure long-term use. This tuyere comprises a tuyere trunk 1 having a cooling chamber 2 of a tuyere body and a cooling chamber 3 of a tuyere nose. At least the upper half of the whole of the outer circumference surface of a portion being in the tuyere trunk and projecting into the blast furnace, or the whole excluding the forefront of the outer circumference surface is coated with a shell layer 5 made of a material having a higher melting point than the melting point of Cu and temperature of a hot metal in the blast furnace. Furthermore, a jacket 4 made of a metal for protecting the tuyere from mechanical impacts received at the time of inserting the tuyere into the blast furnace is fitted onto the outside of the shell layer.

  • Patent number: 4963186
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for operating blast furnace, wherein, when charging coke and ore alternately from the furnace top to form alternate coke and ore layers for operation of a blast furnace, a coke layer is formed by charging coke of properties especially suitable for improvement of gas and liquid permeability of the coke layer to the central part thereof or an ore layer is formed by charging ordinary versatile type coke to the central part of the ore layer prior to formation thereof. The centrally charged coke forms a major part of the dead coke layer which is sequentially renewed under the cohesive zone of the blast furnace to maintain appropriate gas and liquid permeability of the dead coke layer, thereby enhancing the production efficiency and stability of the blast furnace operation while suppressing erosive wear of refractory walls of the furnace.
