  • Publication number: 20190334359
Abstract: There is provided a battery charger configured to charge a battery including a battery terminal. The battery charger includes a receiving portion in a form of a recess, and a charging terminal provided in the receiving portion. The battery is attachable to and detachable from the receiving portion. The receiving portion includes a holding portion configured to selectively hold the battery in the receiving portion at one of a first posture and a second posture different from the first posture. When the battery is in the first posture, the battery terminal is in contact with the charging terminal to allow the battery to be charged. When the battery is in the second posture, the battery terminal is separated from the charging terminal.

  • Publication number: 20190308428
Abstract: A printing apparatus having a body, a cover, a pair of supporting parts, a locking member, and an engaging portion, is provided. At least one of the pair of supporting parts is a movable supporting part. The locking member arranged on the movable supporting part is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The engaging portion arranged in a container compartment engageable with the locking member being at the locked position. The locking member at the unlocked position when the cover is open is separated from the engaging portion. In a process where the cover is moved to be closed, a protrusive portion in the cover contacts to be pressed against a contact portion in the locking member, causing the locking member to shift from the unlocked position to the locked position to be engaged with the engaging portion.

  • Patent number: 10377156
Abstract: A printing apparatus, having a body with a container compartment, a cover, a pair of supporting parts, a locking member, and an engaging portion, is provided. The pair of supporting parts support the roll along a first direction. At least one of the pair of supporting parts is movable in the first direction. The locking member is arranged on the movable supporting part and is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The engaging portion in the container compartment is engageable with the locking member being located at the locked position. The locking member at the unlocked position under the condition where the cover is open is separated from the engaging portion. The locking member contacts the cover and shifts from the unlocked position to the locked position to be engaged with the engaging portion in a process where the cover being open is moved to be closed.

  • Publication number: 20190030928
Abstract: A printing apparatus includes: a main body; a cover; a pair of supporters including a movable supporter; a first urging member configured to urge the movable supporter in an approach direction; an engaging member movable between a separated position and an engaged position; and a second urging member configured to urge the engaging member toward the engaged position. When the cover is in an open state, the engaging member is located at the engaged position by an urging force of the second urging member so as to inhibit movement of the movable supporter in the approach direction. When the cover is in a closed state, the engaging member is located at the separated position against the urging force of the second urging member by contact of the cover with the engaging member so as not to inhibit the movement of the movable supporter in the approach direction.

  • Patent number: 10000079
Abstract: A printing device includes a platen roller, a pair of bearings, and a holder including a pair of fitting portions to which the bearings are fitted. The bearings rotatably support a rotational shaft of the platen roller. Each bearing includes a small-diameter portion, a large-diameter portion coaxially connected to the small-diameter portion, and a protrusion provided at an outer circumferential surface of the small-diameter portion. The larger-diameter portion has a peripheral surface and an end face connecting the peripheral surface to the outer circumferential surface. Each fitting portion includes: a receiving portion configured to receive the small-diameter portion; an opening to which the protrusion is fitted; and a receiving surface configured to contact the end face of the large-diameter portion from outward in an axial direction of the rotational shaft. • Patent number: 8301284
Abstract: Provided are techniques which offer an advantage of reduced time and reduced storage capacity required to calculate the feature value of AAC-format song data. A feature extraction unit includes: an MDCT coefficient extraction unit which extracts MDCT coefficients from AAC-format song data; a classification unit which locates the MDCT coefficients thus extracted by the MDCT coefficient extraction unit on Mel frequency regions so as to uniformly classify the MDCT coefficients into classes, the number of which is the same as that of a predetermined number of Mel filter banks; an integrating unit which extracts the MDCT coefficients classified by the classification unit by applying a predetermined window function, and integrates the MDCT coefficients thus extracted, in increments of the Mel filter banks; and a feature calculation unit which calculates the feature value by performing logarithmic cosine conversion of the integrated results obtained by the integrating unit.

  • Patent number: 8218646
Abstract: A moving image encoding apparatus includes a first-step encoding section for executing a plurality of times first-step encoding by use of different quantization control variables; a code-amount estimation section for estimating, for all the quantization control variables, an amount of codes generated for each frame by making use of a plurality of results of the encoding; a code-amount allocation section for allocating an amount of codes for each frame on the basis of results of the estimation; and a second-step encoding section for executing second-step encoding on the basis of the amount of codes allocated to each frame. The first-step encoding section changes the number of times of execution of the encoding in accordance with the attribute of each frame, and omits a portion of processes contained in the coding process in the second and subsequent executions of the encoding process.
